All this arguing is un-neccesary. Capello should have played with 3 forwards with that squad. DP as a left supporting striker, Ibra as a right supporting striker and Trezeguet as a pure finisher.

We would do wonders with that formation...

Capello asked for cannavaro to be brought here to strengthen the defence, same with Emerson. That backline was sourounded by an iron shield to protect it with the whole team applying pressure all over the field.

anyway for ppl who think i hate Alex just because am giving capello some credit then they r wrong. I just feel its unfair for to not give some credit where its due.

I respect capello, and i respect Alex even more.
:agree: +rep
i hate capello, but u cant deny the fact that the guy is a monster when it comes to winning local leagues

denying capello any credit for winning not one but two scudettos is just plain unfair.Mybe he did rely on personal skills by the players to win games or personal brilliance.
But this team was defensively like a rock, teams were dying before they could score against us. The team was like a well oiled machine.
It was Capello who organised the team from the backline and made it almost invincible and almost impossible to break down.

I didnt say that the guy didnt make mistakes, he made quite a few and he was just a plain son of a bitch when dealing with his players and especially alex.
But saying things like anyone would've won the scudetto with this team is just plain ignorant as the Inter example just shows that its not that e

and capello is a part of that team.
I neevr said that Capello didn't do anything or did not participate anything in winning the 2 scudetti. If a coach doesn't matter in winning trophies then why the hell didnt we win anything during the Ancelloti seasons??
Capello made the team solid, but he also made then impotent and increative. That worked for him in winning lo scudetto but wasn't good enough for winning anything else that needs creativity like knock out games.

Yes I stand by my statement, it took a team work to win the scudetti. (I never said a coach is not part of the team) A team cosists from the captain, players, coach, management.....etc even the cleaning man in the squad is counted. Everyone who participated by making the squad capable of winning is to be thanked and is part of the team.
What I hated during the Capello era is that we usually do not hear about problems between players, but under his command we heard of a few. We are not Inter, nor Lazio. Our problems stay under the roof of our club they never go outside (if there are any).
Capello is one of the coaches who has won alot with different teams, but to me his acheivement at Juve were masked by his butt-like behaviour and arrogance, which I beleive let us lose trophies we were seriously capable of winning.

Capello can be good in Seria A only, where matches/games are played in a defensive style unlike some-other leagues. (Though I still don't understand how he managed to win a La Liga with r.madrid)

Looking at Capello's time at Juve during our CL campain, he was a real failure. It's not like he learned something from Liverpool's first leg to the 2nd, the same goes with Arsenal. Not to also mention our bremen lucky game(thanks to their goalkeeper and Canna's voice).

He is Indeed a failure in Europe, though he's good and not excellent in Calcio.... I don't know If Benitez or Didie or even Mc laren would be able to loose a Scud with the squad we had.

Capello should have atleast drove our team to the semi's in these 2years. Atleast.

No matter what any1 says Capello has the golden touch...to turn fast-paced attacking teams into slow and utterly boring ones...truly a gift from above

how long again befor DP is back in action guys?
According to Juventus.com 13/11/2006, DP would be rested for around 2-3 weeks, with a further examination (due tomorrow). So if all goes well, DP will be back in a week or two.

Lets also not under-rate our Palla-Boji partnership, It was their first game together, I think we'll be able to judge after Napoli game. Though tbh, I can't wait to have both David and Dp back.

But lets not be in a hurry. I think we can still wait few weeks untill they recover 100%. and also lets not be scared It's not like Zlatan is leading our attack:D.
