Good news, he is a real Juve leg-end.

But who here believes he will score more than 10 goals next season?

I mean, if you take away the penalties!

And without free kicks? 4 to 7 would be a fair guess.

Glad he is staying though, but we are very light up front: if Trez is out for any substantial period, we will struggle.
Its really hard to guess, depending on the role he will play next season. But if he does play close to the goal then why not score more than 7 goals. Add to them free kicks and possible penalty kicks, he will round up with a good number. Remember, he passes the ball to trezeguet so David can score ;) If it happens the other way around why not. Or if he decides to take matters into his own hands and score then thats a possibility too.

By the way you have a typo...

He won.t be able to get a clear shot close to goal in Seria A; this is not Seria B, you know. So i think my estimate is about right.

My typographical error was intended.

A leg-end; geddit!

Well people have been saying that Del Piero won't score and won't perform ever since 1999. But every season since then he's been doing more than alright. He has been fundimental in our sucesses whether they were with Lippi or Capello. Even in Serie B, before the start of the season many said that he was too old to carry juventus with him back to Serie A. He finished the season as top scorer.
I am not saying that he is light and fresh as a 24 years old but for a player who is 33 he is doing great. For me it wouldn't be a surprise when he succeed to impress as he always has.

I won't let my words and typing stand for Del Piero, because I think his performances this upcoming season will be more than enough. Yes I do have faith in him.. He has never let us down. And I feel that he will be ready for next season.
You might not like him alot, but you cannot disagree that he was fundimetnal for us ever since we signed him till the last game we played in Serie B. I don't see why he shouldn't continue to do so in the upcoming season.

Sooner or later Del Piero will retire (hopefully later), players will come after him. But you will then realise how much Del Piero ment and how much Del Piero was doing for Juve on and off the pitch. I just hope that when he actually retires we manage to find someone as talented, loyal and giving as him.

And I knew that Typo was intended, I was just pointing out that Google thinks otherwise ;)

Well you fellows DP (Ol' lovely eyes) has been a great player for Juve ipso facto he will be again this year.

Again we have the faction who, whenever anyone dare mention DP's name in less than godlike praise, turn to insult and plain stupidity; google thinks otherwise" (sic)

As Del Piero once said "No Skuche ala Gats!"

i think some ppl just wanna get some attention by being anti-dp, ..who knows? they may hang dp posters on the wall, have all dp jerseys fill up the wadrobe, or cried when dp scored/missed a goal...

I like DP but I'm afraid his best days are over. He was surprisingly good last year but that was in B. I think next year we should start looking for a replacement, maybe we already got him in Palla.

Can you please pin point where the insult came from me? If you cannot appreciate the sense of humor to lighten a post out that does not include an insult to any poster then that is your problem.
I never insulted you because you do not like Del Piero, its your personal choice. I was just replying to a post of yours regarding Del Piero's performance.
Del Piero as any player in the world has his bad games, and when he does I personally say it wasn't his best of games.
But I do stand by my opinion. I will enjoy what Del Piero is giving now, rather than waiting for him to choke or retire, because the later will realise then that Juve has missed alot and he hasn't enjoyed what DP was giving while DP was still playing.

Well we are all wating for the end of August to see how our Juve will turn out to be. It'll be one of the most important seasons ever for Del Piero. I think he is up for the task.

Just for your infotmation, Serie B is 10x tougher for a man who is 32 years old than serie A. Any player would tell you that, even Lippi stated that.

About his age, we all agree he's not young but at the same-time he's not old, his age is pretty good age for footballers, and we have lot of examples on that. He was unlucky to play under overrated coach called capello.

Under Didier in a new tough challenging league he shined, finishing top scorer not to mention not playing all matches and also not to mention that he's not a finisher.

So, lets see how he'll act under Ranieri and then we can judge, IMO.
