One Love, the match

I feel great enthusiasm during these days in Sydney.

A lot if things to do, lots of people to see, tons of good byes, autographs, hand shakes, and above all there's trainings before the match I'll be playing on Sunday in All Stars A-League jersey "against" Juventus: I'd never believe in coincidences especially if we talk about these two colors, that are so close, black-n-white, my story, my life :touched:. To make it short, from that 13 th of May 2012 at Juventus Stadium, it all can be described in two words, One Love.

I can't be happier to have an opportunity to say good bye on the pitch to all my fans, and not only to those of Sydney FC -that in two years of my fabulous Australian experience surrounded me with a lot of passion, respect and love.

I'd like to thank all, and I'll do it from the place I love most, where I feel at home: on the pitch.
Sunday will be also a day to look back just for a moment and see a great team, to realize once again how much the Australian football movement has grown from all points of view. I'm particularly happy to have contributed in the last two years in this development, that I'm sure won't stop.

So, see you on Sunday... I'll be waiting for you at the stadium or those who won't be there can watch the match on TV , I want to say good bye and virtually hug you all.

PS. I know, that on the other side of the pitch, with another jersey will be Juventus... But is it really necessary to explain what it means to me?

#OneLove. Ale

Will be terribly weird to see il Capitano against us... After so many years spent together, and, not less, these last years spent without him... :moan: I still miss him.

Io di te non mi stanco, sarò sempre al tuo fianco, sei la cosa più bella che c'è... Come te, nessuno mai.

1. According to reports in Italy. he'll switch to Juve shirt for 10-15 minutes. First time in Bianconero after 2 years. Do you think there's a DEL PIERO 10 shirt already waiting for him for tommorow?
2. He said that the last week - with the All Star team - made it clear for him that he wants to play on, and so he'll announce his next team within 2 weeks.

Lets save that for his retirement game :) Even if I wanted it to happen, it would be odd towards his aussie teammates he was cheering on and applauding to suddenly play against them.

We all have massive respect for him here, he has done so much for Australian football its crazy, players and fans alike respect him like no other, everyone would have understood him playing for the club he spent his life at, everyone here was expecting him to switch sides for a bit.

can anyone summarize how he was in the match? how did the fans receive him?
Played well, created a couple of chances and beat a lot of players, looked really fit and fresh as well.

the fans love him here, applauding when he did something, he got a standing ovation when he got subbed of too.
we all love him.
