:D

1. He was 1 minute away from reaching the playoffs, the closest Israel ever got to the World Cup since playing in the European zone (early 90's). That free kick...damn, it still hurts:
2. We really loved him because he was so different from Israeli coaches, he brought something new. He was a professional, a gentleman, a decent man with classic attitude and smart ideas. The opposite of the typical Israeli coach. Plus, he really loved us and felt connected to the country.

The most famous anecdote from his days here - he noticed that our defenders give away penalty kicks often by touching the ball with their hand while trying to reach a ball in the air. So he took a rope and they played with their hands tight, jumping to headers with the hands behind their back. After several trainings with tight hands, problem was solved.

The decision to let him go after only two years was the most stupid in the history of the Israeli football association.

He's vying for an offer that suits him from all the aspects. Everything is possible, MLS, Japan and maybe even Celtic, but he and his brother, Stefano, hinted that he won't play on in any case, but only if he finds a project that he likes, like Sydney.
