Hopefully he'll be back in 2 years for a role in the management.

Alessandro Del Piero feels the nostalgia for Juventus making way for excitement at moving to Sydney, but reveals he “hasn’t heard from” President Andrea Agnelli.

The World Cup winner is en route to Australia to begin a new adventure in the A-League.

“Who is Del Piero today? A lad who made an important choice in his life,” Alex told Sky Sport Italia.

“He was never really accustomed to change, but he made that change in the right place at the right time.

“Do I feel nostalgia? Yes, for a world I was part of for 19 years both as player and fan. The supporters still sing my name in the stadium and that takes me back in time. Yes, there is nostalgia, but also excitement for the new adventure.”

There was a surprising response when Del Piero was asked whether he had received a farewell message from Juventus President Agnelli.

“No, I haven’t heard from him anymore. Everyone has his own story and decisions must be respected. The bond between Juventus and me goes beyond the President, Coach or directors. It has been too strong and too important.

I don't see him working with Pluto and that guy who's president on papers only.
