"We have pitched a lot of things to him . . . the lifestyle here, the fact we play in the summer and that he won't have to put up with a European winter. The rest is now up to him."
The man is from the Veneto and has lived half his life in Torino. I'm sure he doesn't mind the winter.

Oh please come to Celtic. Since he left the only team in Europe I would be cool with him moving to is my beloved Celtic. Please please please let this happen. He's played at Parkhead before, he knows the intensity of that stadium under Champions League floodlights. I want this so much. We need another striker at Celtic anyway, Alex is the best possible option.

Unless, of course, my two teams draw each other (which I couldn't stand)

The other plus is guaranteed trophies!
True but they hardly count when you see the standard that you are up against.

When you have won a Champions League, Serie A, World Club Cup and World Cup I am sure that you do not think "oh yeah I really want to win the Scottish Communities League Cup for my collection"

I would hate Del Piero to be at Celtic.

For him I see no motivation other than to play in the Champions League again (for 6 games and then get knocked out). The league is a joke, no competition, the standard is dreadful (from competitors and teammates), he will get kicked to pieces on crap pitches, Scotland is not the nicest place to live especially being an old firm player and would be boring as hell without Rangers in the league.

Only plus is that I would be down at their training ground for the chance to meet him.
No doubt, Scottish league sucks. And he knows that. According to the Italian media, he's gonna reject Sion because the Swiss league isn't good enough. The league in Scotland isn't better. I beileve he really wants only the EPL. But first of all he must reject Sion officialy. The official decision, yes or not, in the next few hours.

This though is a chance to raise the profile and standard of the league, no? Even putting aside my love for Celtic this would be a great thing for Scottish football. If he was being linked to Aberdeen or Dundee United I'd be excited as well.

Like most of us, I'm going to watch as much of Ale in his new team as I can. It would just be hugely convenient if his new team happened to be Celtic :D

Yes.

Btw, Wenger just confirmed that Walcott leaves Arsenal. Their attack is pretty weak even with him, so I guess Wenger wants to add a forward to the squad, hopefully Ale.

But I must hear this from more sources before I get really excited. It's still Tuttosport.

EDIT: Now they say that Walcott stays. The fuck is going on there
