MU are great towards their legends. Actually they've earned a lot of my respect lately, especially via they way some of their legends admire/respect Juventus. It's official I don't hate MU anymore.
Like David Beckham, Roy Keane, Paul Ince and Jaap Stam :agree:

Ultimately Man Utd's players are treated well as long as they kiss Fergie's ass, because he is the number one superstar legend at that club.

The chicken and the egg
Not really, no. Have a look back at said legendary players.

Yeah, I don't understand the "United are great towards their legend".
No one is. And only in rare occasions you are treated and given special offers because you're a legend (once you're ability is far from the legendary it used to be)

Yep, still the chicken and the egg

So what do you say? Real treated Raul like shit so don't complain? Juve should look for the best example in the world to treat its biggest player in history, and treat him better.

Thanks AA

United found themselves needing Scholes up until his retirement just like Juventus found themselves needing Nedved up until his retirement, it varies. Raul and Hierro didn't stay until the end of their career with Madrid.

In this case? for sure.

After all, I'm proud of being DP-fan and not just another 'shirt fan', like Seinfeld once said. I love nothing about this club these days except of its past. Who should I support? Agnelli? Conte?

This club used to be different back then, today I can't support Juventus without Ale. Can't, won't. Few decades ago clubs represented something, players represented something, the 'one team for life' thing was born for a good reason. Today, it's all about money, it's all business, nothing's left from the old Juve. It's a company, not a club. No loyalty, no respect, just another company.

I'll always say I used to be a fan of the old Juve, and maybe I'll support this team again in few years, but not in its current version. You wanna be romantic and talk about past, fans and all that? go ahead. Like Hoori said, fan is a subjective term, and as for myself, I'm a DP fan, a fan of the old Juve and maybe future Juve too. But I'm not gonna be blind/stupid/fascist and support a club no matter what.

I'm a fan of a man with the good, old values, not the BIG company that treats him like shit.
Well have fun with that but regardless of what you think, club>player. A club doesn't get old and unable to compete anymore.

And for your information, the only Juve I've ever really known is the post-calciopoli Juve since I'm 17.

The chicken and the egg
Juve>player

1. True loves do get old. And nothing last for ever...

2. Poor you. I miss pre-calciopoli Juve so much

3. Juve > player? Maybe. But Ale > Juve. That's for sure.
