if it was over the ground, a simple block with the foot of the defender suffices to take away the danger

to the chest, in the penalty area, its a smart solution, as they cant knock him over cause it causes a penalty

your theory might be fine in theory but in reality any striker will tell you to play him the ball into the foot so he has more options. if he had played it into space (where alex was running anyways) he could have shielded it better... faked a shot with the right and shoot with the left and stuff... thing is playing the ball high over a small distance is seldom wise, because it takes the receiving player more time to control it and cuts down the available change of directions.

There has been a few missed chances by Ale that could of resulted in amazing goals that still bug me... a few that instantly come to mind are the one where he skinned lucio and sent his shot just passed the top corner, over head kick two or three seasons ago (can't remember who against), euro final and the time he shot right at cesar after destroying matrix on the wing against Inter 3 years ago.

edit: what about the time he scored from just outide his own box vs Milan in a friendly but the ref blowed the whistle for full time... bastard
