Who will play in the "3" position in 4-2-3-1? Diego, Giovinco and??? Besides, even if Camoranesi was fit do you really believe that they can start in every single game?
4-3-1-2 did not work well for many reasons, some of the reasons from the top of my head:
1- Ciro is not sticking to it so the players are yet to adapt to it well.
2- Giovinco or Del Piero MUST start as a supporting striker alongside Amauri/Iaq/Trezeguet as a finisher in almost all games. Which was almost never the case before Del Piero's return.
3- The 3 players in the center of the field MUST learn how to pass the ball to each other well.

BTW, i read in LA STAMPA that trez start today with ale\amauri along side him. i just want to say that i'll kill ciro if he'll bench il capitano today for this overated brazilian, after he spent 90 minutes on the bench in bari.
