Del Piero For President’ Cry Juve Fans

The Juventus supporters’ website VecchiaSignora.com has launched a campaign for Alessandro Del Piero to be the next President of the club.

The Golden Boy symbolises everything that Juventus stands for, and is loved by millions of Juventini around the world.

Fans on the website VecchiaSignora.com started a page calling for Del Piero to be the next president of the club.

The 33-year-old has so far received 83 per cent of all votes posted by users, thus proving that in the hearts of fans he is the worthy heir to another former hero Giampiero Boniperti.

Del Piero joined the club in 1993 from Padova as a teenager, and has since gone on to become the club’s all-time record goalscorer.

He has won a plethora of honours, including seven Scudetti (two revoked), a Champions League, Coppa Italia, World club Cup and European SuperCup.

Despite his advancing years, many believe Del Piero to be in his best form for a decade, and he has hit the back of the net an impressive 11 times in Serie A this season.

Inside information on club affairs, good connections, respect of others, love for the club -- are some of the ingridients of becoming a successful president.
respect and love ?
I really doubt this is what's needed to be a great president. It's great if the president cares for the club and loves it but these characteristics aren't really needed.
I doubt Moggi loved Juve when he joined us or had much respect for the others and yet he was successfull.
Connections are a must, experience is needed because if our president has a lack of experience in the football world (outside the pitch) it could be a handicap and a big one. Managing qualities are needed. Money management, men management etc.
Usually, the good guys don't make good presidents. You always have to be a little arrogant and brutal if needed.
You just described Fidel Castro.

Yeah, but Moggi wasn't a president, he was a General Manager.

Boniperti wasn't those things you mentioned, but he is our honorary president.

Under the triade the president was always nothing.
He had no influence in the team plans.
Id DP will be president one day, the things will be completeley different IMO
