Del Piero Must Be Suffering – Tacchinardi

Former Juventus star Alessio Tacchinardi believes that the out-of-favour Alessandro Del Piero will be suffering over his lack of playing time.

Tacchinardi, who currently plays for Serie B side Brescia, finally parted ties with Juventus this summer after 13 years at the club.

With the exception of the past two seasons which were spent on loan at Villarreal, Tacchinardi enjoyed more than a decade as a team-mate of Del Piero, winning five Serie A titles and a Champions League.

“For many years Del Piero has been the point of reference. He is a player and a person who since he was 20 has had tranquillity and serenity,” said Tacchinardi.

Del Piero has lost his status as a first-choice player for Juventus recently, with Coach Claudio Ranieri preferring David Trezeguet and Vincenzo Iaquinta up-front.

“The pride of a champion makes you never want to remain on the bench. It disappoints me to see him not starting, however this is football,” added the 32-year-old Tacchinardi.

“In certain teams you have to just accept it, but I am convinced that inside he is suffering a lot.

“I personally believe that he still has a lot to offer. He is a great force and has the motivation and enthusiasm of a young boy.”

The team comes first. If Iaquinta is working better with Trezeguet than Del Piero is, then Iaquinta should start. I'm sure Del Piero understands this if he truly loves the club like he says he does.

Maybe.

I think it would work if we have Nedved and Camo on. With one of those missing we may well need Ale up front.
yep, was just about to say that...we need those 2 to really be on their A-game for the Trez-Vinnie duo to work...coz there is nothing coming from the FBs or CMs :(

This Juve squad really lack of creativity...We got some nice and potential defensive midfield, but offensive?? No Camo, No Nedved and No DP we don;t have spark. Trez and Iaquita won;t create a lot. How this squad can fight in the champions league? against teams like Manchester United and Arsenal? somemore if away games. Do you have high hopes we can win or at least take home a point?
We were once a power house in transfer market. I hate that when this club got hit so bad by scandal issue. Damn the Italian football federation!! I miss the glory days when we made waves in the transfer market by having Buffon, Nedved and Thuram at one go. Damn.......
Now we see a lot of high profiles/talents in the market, like Benzema, Diego, Rafael Van Da Vart but can we get them?? I doubt.
I don;t see the point why someone want us to chill d f*** about Del Piero. We did not demand he to start in every game. I personally just hope he can start against Milan, if he fails to deliver, we go for Iaquita. U can;t deny Del Piero is still one of the most creative player on the squad(assist in coppa italia). I just hope we can bring in more flesh blood or call back our creative young players like Seba and not jamming our midfield w tackling midfielders instead of a mixture of both attack n defensive.

Had one yesterday (Thursday), got one tomorrow afternoon. So far, they're alright because these exams are for my only two electives. Come Tuesday forward, I've got biomechanics, chemistry, and physiology. How about your exams?

Del Piero...:D
well, as you may or may not know, i go to seneca, which is a college, hence they can afford to have only one week dedicated to exams. However, some of us who are taking bachelor degrees have seven, which done in 5 days is a lot of fun

biomechanics, chemistry, and physiology? sound like fun

i got soil/air sampling and physical geography on monday and environmental law and some stupid social class on tuesday
