Whats happening to Balotelli is racism and it should be stopped. If another form of racism is happening to other segments be it Muslims, Jews, Arabs, Sicilians or whatever then IT TOO SHOULD BE STOPPED.

Look, I never condoned calling him a "negro di merda". That is obviously wrong. But sorry, the original chant in which this thread was based on is not racist, especially when similar chants are said in other stadiums about a general base of supporters, especially Italian fans.

Refer back to swag's post regarding A Season with Verona to understand that much of this is just banter, and considering this chant doesn't call him a nigger, I don't have a problem with it.

Was referring to negro di merda of previously, and nigger not being italian, which were said last night (Which I was addressing because Alen and Deneb were partly saying racial insults doesnt mean they are racially motivated in his case). Thought you were referring to that.

The other insult is not racist in itself (even if the attention he gets is motivated by that, its no coincidence they switch from jump if he you want him to die, till nigger is not italian, IMMEDIATELY after another by the same people, overall attention he receives from them is clearly racially related, its OBVIOUS), but its a really really stupid shit nontheless, wishing death on players. And should be dealt with, as should many insulting chants that are way too common in calcio.

It should be punished because if its not then fans will increasingly abuse black players as long as it affects their playing level.
