Nah seriously Andy you need to stay focused when saying something. Just go too general and not we are talking about (I can only presume you are trying to deflect, or just being you), or coming up with irrational comments that have nothing do to with anything we said, like that above post (I mean wtf has people playing the race have to do with anything? And wtf does that mean? Pointing out racism is defacto playing racist card???). I mean really, make an effort if you are supposed to address whats being said.
No, playing the race card is using someone's race to claim that somebody's words are racist. Since there is no mention of Balo's race in this chant, you can't prove it's a racist chant, flat out. And just looking at the words itself, it's not racist at all.

That is the whole point. You can ban whomever you want if they shout out true racist taunts, but banning chants like these would set a precedent to ban folks that say anything about a black player, hence playing the race card. That's the point.

Just an honest answer Osman, please. Think about it and give me an honest answer. I know you will....

If there were no "Negro di merda" chants, or any kind of chants about Balotelli's skin or him being an Italian or not, and if the fans sing "Se saltelli muore Balotelli", how would you react?

I mean, if starting from last season till today, the fans never mentioned anything related to his skin and only sang this catchy chant, would you have minded it?

I know you'll tell me that it's a childish chant and wishing people die is wrong, but would you have seen racism in the chant?

I think you wouldn't have, but I want you to say it :D

Knowing the racism reality of Italy, I would certainly suspect it (why him specifically of all the douches, and why in a games we arent even facing him?? What motivates them to do that?), but wouldnt outright think it is on that alone, no.

But its bit silly tunnel vision to disregard relevant context like how he is racially targeted in and outside the pitch in Italy, wether its being called negro di merda you arent italian by same people wishing him to die in the chant (and when they are doing it the same time they are chanting for him to die, how am I supposed to disregard the possibility of being racially motivated), or there are bananas thrown at him at night clubs (promoting event for Azzurri olympics with Giovinco, on a stage, Romanisti throw bananas at him). Figuring that the same attention might be motivating this latest chant that partly or otherwise, its hardly unreasonable. But you are welcome to assume I am biased if you want.

And seriously, racist part aside, I can echo what Seven said several times in this thread (is he a biased african for you when he has been saying word for word the exact thing?), but also said it in few posts that there are certain things that DONT belong in footie, wishing death on a player regardless what a douche he is fucking retarded, said it regardless several times in this thread for you to get it, regardless of players race/ethnicity (not just this stuff, but lots of other, like mocking the death of someones just died father/mother, totally insulting someones sick child and so on with the numerous vile examples that footie is filled with). And whoever the player its, dealing with non racially related ugly behaviour is good. Not to mention they effect our club with bad reputation (yes we need more of that), fines, stadiums bans, most importantly they shame us, period.

They sang that every single game. Home, away, coppa, serie A, CL.
    All the time.
    :touched:

    Missing these days

Btw, I'll Boo Balotelli from my place when we play Inter, I'll jump hoping he dies and if that makes me a racist then let it be but I wont stop jumping.

When I jump to this chant and sing it, I don't actually want him to die. That would be too much, especially when it would make him some sort of martyr. I doubt even some of the racist folks truly want him to die, either.

Why do people keep talking like they are the ones addressed in this? Werent refering to any of you and doubt other posters were either (other then taking it too unseriously, banter fun, I get that totally, but first it has to be something actually funny, and more classy then chanting for someone to die), but specifically and only the 300 who are the same ones who sing racist chants that got us fined/banned and then chant they wish him to die, crazily enough, in games we arent even playing against him. Thats extra strange, as Momo said, why the heck are they doing it in totally other games?

Maybe they aren't actually Juventus fans and they actually want us to play in empty stadiums & pay fines again and again and again and ...
I know it's a lame excuse, but I couldn't come up with anything else right now.

    -------------

UEFA could open an investigation into new Juventus racist chanting towards Mario Balotelli, as Momo Sissoko declares “we’ve done everything we could.”

The club was fined this week for insulting, though not obviously racist, chants aimed at the Inter striker during a Serie A match.

However, there was no doubting the intent behind the chants ‘A negro cannot be an Italian’ that were heard during last night’s 2-0 Champions League defeat in Bordeaux.

Juve must now wait for news, as UEFA will analyse the reports of the referee and delegate in the stadium.

“Once the reports have been received from the UEFA delegate and the referee, Iturralde Gonzalez, they will be sent to the Disciplinary Commission and then the decision will be made whether to open an investigation,” said UEFA press officer Thomas Giordano.

“Disciplinary action could be taken by looking at testimony, newspaper articles or television footage, but all this would only happen after receiving the reports from the delegates.”

These reports are expected on Friday, but Juventus could potentially be exempt because Balotelli was not taking part in this match.

Meanwhile, Bianconeri fan favourite Sissoko has spoken out on the rising tide of anti-Balotelli sentiment.

“I am absolutely against any form of racism in sport and in life,” said the former Liverpool midfielder.
“We players have repeatedly stated our position on this matter, we’ve done everything we could. Juventus as a club have taken the necessary steps.
“Now it is time for the institutions to take action.”

Football Italia, but pretty accurate from what I can tell

Because it annoys Mourinho, Inter, Balotelli etc, and because we were undeservedly fined.

Everyone should know that this prick is targeted because of his personality.

Just because a black player happens to be an arrogant prick doesn't mean we are racist like our rivals are trying to make it. So I'm glad they keep on chanting against Balotelli.

Because I bet that not all of them actually want Balo dead. Again, I'm not condning racism, but I can understand why it would be fun to chant this. It would be interesting to speak with the fans who actually do chant negro di merda to see if that's what they really think, or else just being assclowns.

Proclaiming se saltelli, muore Balotelli when the player isn't anywhere near the ground is very cruel, but humorous nonetheless. The fans may be racist but they sure make catchy songs.
