True. And supporting Juve makes me feel good, not supporting my NT, which is why I don't know why I still do.
I think the whole idea of supporting should be that you do so even in rough times?

As for me, it's a tough call but still not that tough. It's Juve above all, except if they would somehow face Sweden one day.

no matter what you should always be loyal to your place of birth,or homeland, you should follow them, even though they are rubbish

trust me supporting scotland is a lot harder than supporting Juve, but this is my home, my heritage and the source of many of my greatest disappointments

though i think you missed a trick here by not adding another option-
someone elses national team (Italy)

Why, because we are conditioned for in group support and out group hostility by our evolutionary history? Should we forever be slaves to the realities of our ancestors 100,000 years ago?

Why can't a person just as well go somewhere completely different, settle down, and support the local activities there? Only because the local locals won't accept him through their cultural conditioning. But culture is malleable. Let's mess with it.

In my question I also meant an eventual encounter between the club we support vs our NT in a Universe Cup or some shit like that. :p

Imagine(will never happen) your club in the CL final at the same time as your NT in the WC final, which one you watch LIVE?

If my national team ever reach the WC final, I bet you everyone in the world would want to watch that. Even the club presidents of the named clubs in the CL final. Hell even the players.

Neither any of the clubs from my country are worth talking abt nor is my country's National team.

If I had to chose supporting Juve over Azzuri, I'd pick the Azzurri any day :)

@ Martin- it all falls down to national identity and patriotism, us scots are fiercely patriotic people,we are a small nation big on pride........

but as a Pole living in Holland i can see how you may become detached form your feelings of national identity and surrogate the feelings you would have for your national team into the love you have for your club team.

now if you ask me what would i rather see-Scotland win the world cup or Juve win the CL i would pick Scotland, as in comparison it is a fantasy while i do believe i will see Juve win teh CL again

It tickles me that in the 21st century we are still like warring tribes. Sports clubs are the perfect harmless proxy for this seeing as they are utterly inconsequential. Some people are appalled at this, but I wonder if it might actually be a good thing. If we can't stop thinking like tribes people perhaps we can at least make the whole exercise harmless.
