it's not that i don't support them but for the last years wa failed in every international competition even if we have great players playing in europe(chamakh,kharja,hamdaoui,.....) :sergio:
Morocco is a good team, and you're love for your country shoudn't depend on whether they are doing good. I supported my country (Algeria) since I started to watch footy, and even if my national team became the shadow of itself since the 90's. And see, now we will eventually go to the world cup even if we are in the same group as Egypt. In short, what i'm trying to say is that you never know what your team is able to do tomorrow. And by the way, success is relative; for me, qualifying to world cup is already a great achievement.

I go apeshit if the US win a friendly against the Solomon Islands. Some people were surprised when we were pumped about the Confed Cup, but those people can fuck off and have a thought.

I think if people actually imagined their perspective National Teams(Italy doesn't count, yes you can cheer for them but they aren't your national team) winning something they'd have a different opinion.

It's definitely NT.
Agreed. Emphasis on Italy is not your national team.

I humbly disagree.

I sometimes can't sleep before Aberdeen games and bad performances/results haunt me for ages.

Scotland is totally insignificant in comparison, partly because I hate half the Scotland team.

I'm still going to Hampden for Scotland v Holland next month, though, since it could be decisive.

Well yeah, if you hate half the players in the National Team due to club reasons, I guess you can't always get excited about Scotland.

I only hate a couple players for us, but that's because they're shitty players who keep getting called up no matter what.

It's not just the hate of the players, though.

Even when I was younger and my dislikes weren't as well established, I still cared way more about Aberdeen.

Fuck the UK national team and the ,morons that follow them! I support italy in international competitions anyway, i dont belief in the stupid idea that you have to be from a country to support or it/you have to support the team that represent the country you were born in.

It 's relative. Liverpool is more of a dream for me than a reality. Due to the geography of my situation the likelihood of me ever going to a Pool match (in England) is probably unattainable. On the other hand I've been to several US NT matches and I think that's what makes the difference for me. For you Aberdeen is right there, a part of your life both physically and mentally. It's accessibility makes it so much more to you, where I am basically looking from the outside in. If that makes any sense.

You don't have to, but those who don't really look retarded in my book.

Nothing but sorry gloryhunters.

Sure. But we're talking about national teams. Whether you like them or not England is your national team. If you choose to cheer for Italy, then that's your choice. As for the discussion at hand your vote is obviously for Juve.:D

Now for a new question; Juve or Italy?

That's what most of us are like (except with Juve, not Pool). Maybe to a lesser degree because you're geographically further away from Liverpool than most of us are from Turin.

I'm in a fairly similar situation to Red I think. I have a hometown team that I support and is right down the road from where I live. In a way, they feel like my national team.

forza juve. They represent my country, it doesnt mean i have to support them. Nationalism is plain stupid, out dated and really has no place in the new milenia.
I think that's been established by your earlier post.

If you could pick Italy or Juve (only one) which would it be?:D

I dont see it as glory hunting as iirc when i started to follow Italy in 96 they wernt doing much and i have always supported juventus before i really knew who they were/how good they were (kind of hard to grasp that kind of information when you are 5/6)

and Aaron i thought i had just said 'forza juve' lol. National football brings out the worst in football fans and i remain very skeptical about it.
