well it does make sense.....unless pessoto is going to have a comeback season (plz no)....we need a cover left back...could be jank, who could also play left midfield.

i won't completely rule out pessotto.he hasn't been disastrous for us whenever he's played(in the sense that montero, iuliano have) and imo could definitely stand in for a couple of games this season.

i'd much rather we got marek of course, who'd be a contender to be in the first team imo.

pessotto has been out for so long, he hasnt had proper football for a long time.

I wouldnt feel safe if we had him in hte lineup...despite his glorious history.

jank has turned down everyone bar us and inter........

hopefully inter will sign cesar, and we can push for janko.
Inter do seem close to Cesar. I wonder if Moggi is playing a game of nerves with Udinese over Jank, waiting til the very last moment to get him for a low price - at least I hope that's what he's doing. :groan:

i have no idea what kind of stunt moggi is trying to pull,or if he is at all.

i'd be gutted if we lose out on him to inter,he's a fabulously useful player.

left midfield/left back, possibly central midfield if needed, great left foot, set piece specialist....exactly what we clearly need....sign the mofo.

he's the perfect complement for zamby...one's fast,a rampaging runner who specializes in crossing and quick dribbling while the other has a great long shot and loves hitting the ball early around defenders.

oh,i can just imagine the wingplay:cool:

More swoops for Juventus? Monday 30 August, 2004

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With a deal for Inter’s Fabio Cannavaro almost complete, expect Juventus to add even more new faces.

The transfer window closes tomorrow evening but many believe that the Italian defender won’t be the club’s last summer signing.

Reports in the peninsula on Monday claim that the club are still trying to land two new players.

The first is Marek Jankulovski (pictured) of Udinese, who has turned down a switch to CSKA Moscow in the hope of moving to Turin or Inter.

The fact that Juve sold Giorgio Chiellini to Fiorentina over the weekend suggests that a left-sided player will arrive.

The Bianconeri could offer the Udine outfit £3m plus the loans of Olivier Kapo and Mark Iuliano.

Boss Fabio Capello is understood to have also requested a new striker as a back-up to David Trezeguet.

There seem to be two options available to the Old Lady. The first is Simone Inzaghi of Lazio who has just 12 months left on his capital contract.

Yet the Italian giants could look to La Liga with Deportivo ace Diego Tristan being linked with the Delle Alpi outfit.

Source? I cbfed checking any of the sites :D

It'd be awesome if we signed Cannavaro and Jankulovski. Getting Inzaghinho wouldn't be a bad thing, but nothing to write home about either.
