Jankulovski off to Moscow

Juventus have missed out on Marek Jankulovski after Udinese agreed to sell him to CSKA Moscow.

The player initially rejected the switch over the weekend but his club insist he will be off to Russia.

"Contracts have been exchanged," director general Pierpaolo Marino told Radio Kiss Kiss. "All that we are waiting for is a ‘yes’ from Marek but I don’t expect there to be a problem."

The Czech Republic ace was a known target for both Juventus and Inter but no agreement was reached.

Both clubs have held talks with the Udine outfit but only CSKA were willing to match Udinese’s valuation.

Details of a fee have yet to be released but the Russian outfit are believed to have made a bid of around £6m.

Juventus and Inter could now do battle for Cesar of Lazio before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.


What the fvck would he want in Russia. If I were him i'd rather stay in Udinese.

he rejected their offer earlier, why wouldn't he do the same now?! But those Russians surely are rich, they might pay enough to convince Marek to move to Moscow... :down:

Afaik CSKA Moscow is sponsored by Abramovich, (or an Abramovich II.) We cannot compete, or just dont want to compete with this kind of clubs, and I dont think it is a bad thing. If somebody at the age of 26 choose moscow, than surely he isnt the player any of the top teams need.

Yeah he said that he wanted to come to Juve or Inter, and yes he refused the first offer that CSKA send, but I mean put yourself in his position, his team needs to sell him, Inter is not going for him, he can't wait for Moggi!!!
the only thing I'm saying is that we could have sign Janko a loooooong time ago
