Vahid hashmian is the danger man :D (bias shining through).....seriously tho, bayern should not be taken lightly, we should go at them full heartedly.

if we get jank and/or oddo/trab, we will be complete as far as we can get this year.

Serious bais there John.:D.

Our defence should run for cover when Karim Bagheri comes. Hey wait, I think Bayern could also use certain Ali Daei ;).
The thing about Bayern is that I dont think any of them individually are that great. But they have a great European pedigree and always finds way to grind out result. So I would never count them out. Beside our results against German teams have not been pretty in recent years. Alas, an Iranian called Madhavikia gave our defence run around.;).
I am optimistically cautious and we probably have enough to qualify in this group as winners even if the qualification will not come easy IMO with Ajax also in the mix. The problem for me is not the group stage but knock-out stages - that is where we might be found wanting especially at the back.

u quoted to great footballers there.

Bagheri a great creative/defensive midfielder, with a great pass, but lacked tactical/defensive discipline to make it in europe.

Daei....pure goal scorer....lost all his pace and skill now tho.

Mehdi mahda.....if only we would sign him, he would provide us with a topclass right wing, pace and skill, with great crosses, get him signed.

If moggi had balls, he would sign Ali karimi...a great treqaurtista, with a habit of scoring goals...this guy is the most talented footballer in the east by far....imo

John,

Lebeouf was shit.;):D.

Anyway, I totally agree. Iranian players IMO are most suited to European football because they are physically strongest out of all Asian Nations and yet have technical ability to cause opposition trouble. As you said, Karimi is a real talent, and had he been a EU then I would reckon host of teams would have been queing up for his signature. Fantastic dribbling ability and with great eye for goal from Trequarsista role. Just ask the Koreans about this guys talent - He absolutely murdered them with ball skills and off the ball movement. It wouldnt be worst of signing Moggi would do IMO. As for Madha, his pace is a real weapon, and you got to love that burst of acceleration. I was so impressed with him in our CL game against Hamburg - He and Babarez killed us that day.
Anway Vahid Hashmian isnt anywhere good as those talented players.:D.
As for the best Asian player - It has to Ono Shinji.;)

opo is good, but it help playing in europe...if karimi played in europe im sur ehe would improve. If we signed him and put hi min am....we will be sorted for a long time in that area.

Mehdi's pace is just ridiculus, he breezes past people easily, but the thing that dissappoint5 me, is that sometimes he looks scared to skip past th opposition when he clearly can.

oh and leboeuf wasnt always shit, he did have talent at one point...a long time ago:D

i know i know, it's not proof that he's a world class player, but i can get defensive
I was just fooling around. Anway I see Park every week, he has improved vastly compared to two years ago and the start of 03/04 season. He still isn't special though ;).
