Melo, Xabi Alonso, Hamsik, Modric, and Hernanes are all viable alternatives, if only we had the money.

We don't need a Diarra, Ledesma, Elano, or other players that won't really fill the gap or contribute to the overall improvement of the team. The way I see it, we have Marchisio, Sissoko, and Camo as Starters in our 3 man midfield, with Poulsen, Tiago, and Zanetti as able subs. Buying a new midfielder is not a necessity, but a luxury.

Our defense needs reshaping, and fast!
