Cobolli: Alex would resist £100m
Friday 16 January, 2009

Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli assures he wouldn’t sell Alessandro Del Piero or Gigi Buffon “even for £100m.”

The questions around Manchester City’s 'indecent proposal’ to Milan for Kaka have caught up all of world football.

Juve were called upon, as City had reportedly shown similar interest in their goalkeeper Buffon back in the summer.

“We have never received any offer for Buffon,” assured Cobolli Gigli. “As for Del Piero, he is the star and central column of Juve and would not be remotely interested in leaving Turin.

“No, we would not sell him, not even for £100m. These figures, especially at this moment when the world and football should be reconsidering its finances, are just illogical.”

The Bianconeri are in the thick of the Scudetto race and reduced the gap from Inter to four points, while they thrashed Catania 3-0 midweek to reach the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.

“We played good football against Catania, but on Sunday it all begins again from scratch with Lazio,” said the President.

“I would count Milan in the title race, too. Inter have a remarkable group of players and I’d describe them as a football aircraft carrier.

“However, Juventus have proved they are a real team unit with determination, class, a great locker room unity and excellent tactician.”

I reckon any transaction should be in Zimbabwaian dollars.

€100M is about $1,841,688,159,012,243.50 at the moment.
:lol2: What a Hilarious amount of Digits :lol2:

Good question :D

He's not posting anyway. If we ban him he'll simply open another account and not post anything. And we won't even know if the new account is his because he shares his IP with many other members (i think it's from Singapore, and for some reason all of them there have the same IP  )
This way at least we know it's him.
I think he's a Malaysian , Alen

I just hope they don't take Ranieri away from us...
Co-signed. Ranieri is worth much more for us than Trezeguet, Buffon, C. Ronaldo, Kaka and Messi combined.

Of course Cobolli-Gigli's all over Del Piero's balls. Who else would break down a bathroom stall door to rescue him?
