You guys are just like Moratti going for the big names...I'm sure u guys would ruin Juve with all tha spending juut because u hear a brazilian with talent: "oh yeah he must be good lets buy him"...please... at least I go for people that already have a serie A experience. Like Gilardino which for me has a lot of potential, but u guys instead prefer some foreigner name that sounds better...or like Maresca that is a hell of a player and that he just need confidence and play as a starter but instead u guys prefer Renato or whatever foreigner that u probably didn't even seeing playing...Then u guys complain that Lippi don't give the young players chances to play...
By and large I see your point, but first of all the tread title referred to 'dreams' which is echoed in the posts of several here.
Obviously your team was the more financially sensible so far.
On the other hand however- there's nothing wrong with looking at foreign options over Italian ones- especially because of the money involved. In January, Renato was a whisker from leaving Santos on a free transfer. Obviously, for reasons of the non-Eu regulations, Juventus could not have taken him at that time, but it goes to suggest that great deals can be had. Let's not forget that Arsenal paid less for the duo of Gilberto and Edu than we did to get Baiocco and Blasi.... that Milan paid less than 33% of what we paid for Di Vaio when they got Kaka... etc.
Gilardino is a brilliant prospect, but his price will match unless Parma is butchered by the authoritites. It's not like we've been getting free rides from Parma.
