Not just $$$... dumb money. Always take dumb money. That is the rule of life. ;)
exactly...Like Chelsea's 90 Mill for Sheva...I wouldve sold his ass in a heartbeat:)

and besides we bought Neddy and Buffon...I think Thuram also if I am not mistaken.

Guys, don't tell you don't know the story?
Moggi refused the offer the first time. Zidane went to him and told him he did not want to play for Juventus anymore. He said that his wife wanted to move to spain and stuff like that.
So Moggi went on and accepted the offer.

There was a press confrence afterwards where Moggi stated that many players are dreaming about playing for Juve. If a player feels he doesn't want to play for this club then he is not in our future plans and should be sold. Even if he was the best player in the world...

The thing that facilitated the whole thing was the amount Real has offered.

Now the difference between Juventus and lets say Roma, When Zidane comes to play in Delle Alpi he is appreciated for what he did with the club.

I would not have sold Sheva for even 90 Mill.. Two reasons:
1- Sheva loves Milan and is playing from his heart (very rare these days)
2- He is one of the best forwards in the world if not the best

Besides the fact that Milan have Berlusconi.

What if Sheva's wife wanted to live in London because she can't stand the life in Milano anymore?

and i know ill get a lot of shit for saying this, but i dont think zidane is as good as people call him.he is a great player, but i wouldnt call him a football legend by any means.he was one of the best in the world at his peak, and thats about it.
I think Zidane was the greatest player on a truely awesome French team. He had vision, pinpoint passing and total control of the ball at his feet. He scared teams. Not in that common fashion you see when a fast or technically gifted player runs at a defense. No, when he got the ball, the opposition were afraid of where he'd pass it.

I think he was the best playmaker in the world for a few years, but he wasn't the style of player who carried club teams to sustained success. He could win matches, not leagues.

There are no Platinis now, no Maradonas. I think the game's gotten too athletic, the standards closed up. Think of the CL, or of international football. The big scores of the past are rare now, even the rubbush teams can defend a bit. Maybe I'm wrong. That would be cool - I'd love to see a truely amazing talent take world football by storm.

good question, then you tell sheva to divorce and give him a contract clause where he gets a free high class hooker for every goal he scores
Why didn't we do the same to Zidane then?

but i do remember that for zidane's money, we got thruam and buffon and we paid for nedved by selling inzaghi. We actually made some profit at the end.
