Now that was what I expected too! It would have been a Juve like transfer! I think though, Ronaldinho is too stylish to be playing in a balanced solid squad like ours, who overcomes many difficulties through strength and grit.

Well I think one of the reasons behind not selling Nedved to chelsea was the replacement. We did not have a replacement. Nedved is a very unique player.
If Moggi was conviced that a player can repalce Nedved he would have sold him and bought the other one.
This is what happenned during the Zidane deal. He was convinced that Neddy can lead the midfield so he sold Zizo.
Same thing happened 11 years ago when we sold baggio. But we had to wait and see if Del Piero would be good. After one season Baggio was sold.
