Man, I forgot about that. I wrote it days ago... (why now?)

Apologies to others who may have taken any offense. I'll give myself a card on that one...

Not an excuse, but an explanation. My sense of humor normally declares open season on anything -- and particularly culturally totem ones. Whether that be political, religious, or other totems.

It's my way of challenging perspectives. Some people photograph a Piss Christ or write books that may challenge modern beliefs about historical depictions of Muhammad. I tell jokes. And in my twisted world, my God has a sense of humor.

I understand that others may not see things that way.

In the future, I'll just make sure to make fun of all totems behind backs. :shifty:
It's all good. Even though it might be humorous to you I appreciate you understanding that it might not be for others. I too believe that God has a sense of humour; after all, he created it but to me there are three things one should never joke about; someone's mother (unless it's a regulated your momma contest) :p, someone's kids, and someone's religion...maybe that's just me.

If you can't me funny try to shocking.

At the end of the day god would not be hurt but those who have a faith or moral prospective. Homour, like football, needs creativity, arrogance, suprise and the ability to move you.

Rhetorically speaking it is on the eye of the beholder: but on a moderated (sic) forum clarity is called for.

@greg-ok so you took it a wee bit too far but tbh there have been worse posts about god, jesus and christianity in general,as always, it only takes one person to be offended for it to become a big deal. some folk are hyper-sensitive about their religion, i guess we learned that making fun of God and Jesus can bring you teh same shit as insulting Mohammed and Allah

who is next in line?

Just to be clear, when is something a joke?
Can we poke fun at races, religons, beliefs, sexual preferences, mods, creeds of all sorts?

Or only of we are mates?
a joke is when the context of a sentence is clearly deriding the subject matter in such a way as to bring a smile to the face, however, this is dependent on the reader having a sense of humour

And God said: Let the earth bring forth grass and the earth brought forth grass and the Rastafarians smoked it.

Milligan
hey i take offense at this clearly inaccurate quote, it is not just Rastafarian's who smoke the grass

yeah...I figured you would find comments about molesting kids funny
Bah, i was messing with you and you replied by insulting my family (my "crackhead whore of a mother that fucks with the drug dealers") . Since i had a 4 months old son myself back then i knew where it hurts and i had to use something like that in order to show you that it's not nice to insult someone's family.
It worked at the end because after that you never insulted anyone's family, as far as i remember.

I say introduction threads should be banned, as well as people creating them.
I agree. That crap should be against forum rules. 99% of the people who make those "Welcome Me" Threads turn out to be highly useless members like "LessThanSevenWords" or one of those guys promoting Georgia. They almost never post anywhere besides the Hangout, so it's pretty obvious they're either just looking for attention or farting around while playing those stupid arcade games.

Get rid of that arcade and bring back the history part of the site FFS.

not shy but maybe intimidated but seniorty which carried lotsa weight here
If somebody is intimidated on an internet forum, he/she probably should be doing something else than posting on one, such as growing up or spending time in a straight jacket.

What's so intimidating about actually thinking for oneself a long ways away from whom you're discussing with?
