In the frustration of opening crap pages like www.datasport.it that don't display correctly in anything but IE, I've now started a campaign to point out the mistakes to the websites themselves. If this gets to you to then feel free to join in. ;)

Subject: A problem with your website
To: [email protected]

To whomever this may concern,

It has come to my attention that Your website does not
conform to HTML design standards. This is a barrier
for visitors of Your site who use other browsers than
Internet Explorer, such as www.Opera.com or
www.Mozilla.org. It is also an obstruction to visitors
who may choose to visit Your website from other
platforms, such as Apple Macintosh and Linux/Unix,
where Internet Explorer is not available.

In the interest of providing the best possible service
to all visitors regardless of platform and choice of
browser, I invite You to review the mistakes in Your
pages according to the W3C (the governing body on web
standards) HTML validator engine:

http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=h...estern+Europe)&doctype=HTML+4.01+Transitional

I would also like to bring it to Your attention that
Your site does not render correctly with Opera or
Mozilla on the Windows platform.

For more information on how to design Your pages
according to international standards, I invite You to
review the information published at these locations:
http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp
http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp

Kind regards,
a concerned visitor of Your website

why is mac puttin themselves down so much?
Force of power, Apple got nothing to say, Ms got the power. Face it, Ms Office is the standard of the office world and if Mac wants to offer their users compatibility, they gotta come crawling to Ms. There was also IE for Mac in the past but Ms pulled the plug on that.

And for Ms Office dependency, here's a nice text about .doc email attachments by the guy who invented open source.

i know. do u watch the simpsons? in this episode homer opens his own internet bussiness and Bill Gates comes to buy him out. so funny.
homer thinks bill is gonna pay him but instead bill sends this two big "nerds" who destroy everything and when homer asks him why he didnt just pay him he replies: U think that thats how i got so rich?

I totally get what you mean.

There's a certain kind of brotherhood i feel with other people who know every episode. In any given situation, one person will be like "Hey, this is like that Simpsons episode where", and the other person can finish the sentence before they even know what episode they're talking about

    :touched:

Yes, it's like that with everything. Once you get deep enough into it, everything looks related. I have that with Seinfeld.
