It's just that because we hold a certain sway amongst the international community - due to the fact that Canadian policies are literally used as case studies by so many countries seeking to improve race relations (because of legislation that obviously came before the current Gov't, and has nothing to do with them), I'm patting myself and Canadians on the back here.
It's important to acknowledge that we still have issues with racism; it's just that when you consider how many people we've integrated, our track record and current social climate is quite impressive. Not to be a prick, but it's far, far more tolerant than our wonderful neighbors to the south...
Edit: Anyway, not to bail on the discussion, but I'm out. There's a nice little block party here on Main St., closed the street, live music, tons of hotties... so I gotta prioritize.
