one of the best parts for me is when an opposition starts making multiple stepovers or tries to dribble and i just reach over and take the ball cleanly. Or when an opposition is dribbling and you come from the side and just clatter him with a tackle to get the ball

Its a skill no defender will ever expect i used to do it constanly in indoor now i do it here and there at out door but not that often but i still love it all the same:agree:
He won't expect it, but it's difficult to perform and only worthwhile in particular circumstances. In general you can't use it.

Next season is somewhat annoying for me by the way. I'll be in Belgium till February, but I'd like to play for some team in Bologna as well. Don't know what the rules are in the several leagues in Italy for signing new players though. Not that I'm aiming high, not at all, I just want to play for a club that offers trainings twice a week.

I notice now, when it's off season, that I'm getting very annoyed with not doing sports all the time. Sure, I go running and hit the gym, but it's just not the same, you know.

You must have put hours in on learning that :)
currently trying the trick where you catch the ball between your knees :)
I can't wait to see you try to that one in a game :p

I'm finally going back to Sydney next week after a year away, and I'm really looking forward to joining my team. They're short on defenders and the finals are coming up in about a month, so the timing's pretty good too. I hope I'm still fit enough to play 90 minutes though :pumpkin:

Today I play football only in FIFA '07. But when I was a kid, I played for my district's kids club of Zenit SPb, Russia. I was a goalkeeper (and was really good at it) and sometimes played in the midfield (had a pretty good vision of the field, but wasn't fast enough and didn't have a good technique. My passes were pretty damn accurate though). Then I had an injury, couldn't play for a long time, then just didn't wan't it anymore and just played with friends in the yard (the goal was just 2 bricks). Those were the good days...
So ppl told me I could've become a pro goalkeeper one day, but I didn't want to. Today, post factum, I regret it.
