Its weird,m sitting on the same planet and one part is going bang bang and its all calm here. And of all the strides mankind has made it can just sit and hope they did enough.

Honshu is very narrow in some parts from coast to coast, some under 75km, so maybe not surprising to see quakes on both sides. Obviously they are tied. I'm no seismologist, is it possible that in that close proximity they are part of the same aftershock?

Notice how calm Japanese people are

Their preparedness levels are quite high given how much they've learned to live with earthquakes. They are mostly drilled and know what to do. But I gotta wonder about taking time to keep the video rolling. And are they grabbing a plastic bag to crap in at the end??
