Here we go again. We offer a mediocre player a competitive salary (more than he actually deserves), and of course he doesn't want to leave. China isn't competitive enough, and the other small to mid table clubs can't afford his wages. And yet some people wanted us to go for a cumstain like Gustavo so that we'd end up in the same fucking situation.

This is Iaquinta all over again.

I don't remember Iaquinta being offered 8 million per season from China. Because believe me, if he was, he would have pulled a Pogba and left everything in his locker. Obviously money isn't everything to Hernanes.

And do you think that Witsel, Hulk, Texeira, Gervinho, Oscar, Tevez, et al went to China because it was "competitive"?

The only competition going on over there is who can spend their money the fastest.

The Chinese League is a joke. That's why I'm not surprised he opted against going there. However, he is our problem now. Apparently, they are looking to introduce a spending cap, as the Chinese authorities are concerned that the league is "burning money."

He cant be expected to perform too good after siting the last few months on the bench. He like most players always plays a lot better after a run of games. Still needs replaced though not disagreeing about that.

He's falling hard down the pecking order with Sturaro returning from injury and Rincon arriving, probably won't make the CL list. Maybe Lemina gets dropped because of AFCON, but I hope not, Mario can offer more.
