Little failure :) !

I like the way Arsenal plays football, no doubt about the fact that they play the greatest football in England (together with ManU) offcourse, but when I look a bit further (and that's very important for me), I just don't like teams that refuse to feature players from their own country. I don't consider Inter as an Italian team. Liverpool and Arsenal have the same problem.
I have to disagree with the Arsenal comment there. We all know that Inter has the money to buy any player they want either italian or foreigner, but they prefer buy South American players rather than Italians. Arsenal on the other hand buys young talented players regarless of their nationality bc they don't have the money that Man U. or Chelsea have to compete for English players (lets not forget the prices on english players are high). With Liverpool I agree with you

Not necessarily disagreeing Alen how good he is (I want him signed too), but there are two important factors I counted in. Firstly he is playing in smaller team, expectations and standard of play is different there from in a top team. Been many players who impressed there who cant quite cut it with a top team (the almirons, tavano's and even Gila). Being amazing for one and the other is different. Also he has so far only played a half a season. Many can have stellar half seasons. Its counting your chicks to early if you already consider him the top best in the league...

One needs to prove and show a bit more then that, for sure. Not much to go by consistency wise. He isnt better then Montolivo as a talent at all, but having a better half season. Montolivo is exactly the type I mentionned in my earlier post, extremely good talent who needs a breakthrough, shows immense impact now and then but is not ready yet and not shown consistency. He has earlier in his career impressed big time as Hamsik is so far in half a season, but then later on struggled to keep that form, hence not really have had his breakthrough yet (and Viola is for sure better and demands more then Napoli does). It would be good if he could keep up stellar form all the time, then he would be an almost top player, but he can also be like the most majority of top talents who struggle to keep at it and just not hit that top level just yet. Not be as consistent as a top player needs to be.

In the end, its all about perspective, and expectation. If you decide a good half season is enough to call Hamsik a proven player, IMO its not because lots of other quality talents has had those kinda big moments only not to maintain it later on.

Hamsik > Montolivo

Montolivo has been average this season. Aquiliani is way better.
True.

I like Montolivo and he's talented..but he's been average in most of the games i've seen him in...though it could be like the Torres case..he's done all he can for a team like Fiorentina and needs to move to a bigger club to further his development.

Nedved Wants Hamsik At Juve

Juventus veteran Pavel Nedved has lavished Napoli’s Marek Hamsik with praise and has hinted that he would like the midfielder move to Turin.

Hamsik signed for Napoli in the summer from Serie B side Brescia and has been a revelation this season.

The 20-year-old has been an ever-present at the heart of the Partenopei midfield, and has a superb return of six goals from 21 Serie A games.

Juventus were said to be interested in signing Hamsik last summer, before sporting director Alessio Secco decided to snap up Sergio Almiron and Tiago Mendes instead.

This proved to be a major mistake as the pair have been huge flops, with Almiron already being offloaded on-loan to Monaco, and Tiago only still at the club because a move to Tottenham Hotspur collapsed at the final minute last week.

"He has grown in quality over a short period,” said Nedved of Hamsik.

“In a short time, he has become a very strong player. He really has great quality."

There are reports that Juventus could re-ignite their interest in Hamsik in the summer as they bid to add some extra dynamism and flair to their midfield department.

The Bianconeri have been hugely criticised for their lack of creativity in the middle-of-the-park as regulars Cristiano Zanetti, Antonio Nocerino and new signing Momo Sissoko are more renowned for their defensive capabilities.

Neddy advised the board to get Grygera last year :burke: , but hamsik is a great player with a potential. I think what we need in this team is a real winner that can move the team. Diego is the best option if we really want quality and the guy is young "22", so this would be the best investment that the club will do since the new board came to this team.

Nedved for Juve GM!!!

Yeah he wanted Grygera but he was free. Hamsik and Fenin would be Juve players with Neddy in charge. :rulz:

But Hamsik isn't Czech and we don't really need Nedved to tell us that the kid is amazing.
I don't know if we'll try to buy Hamsik or not, but if we try and some other club gets him instead of us, then our directors will really have to resign. We have everything on our side (Zalayeta+Blasi), we mustn't lose this battle.

Unless Secco resigns, we are doomed to lose this battle and the others...

Seems like Hamsik is the closest to join Juve this summer. Like Alen said, we have the Zala/Blasi card to play and they've been doing an excellent job at Napoli.

Diego would also join us but wants guarantees(CL spot...)
