i do about 10 sets for abs 3 times a week, and 18 sets for legs(including warmups) :p the only muscles i do about 8 sets for are tris and bis
I didn't do abs for over a year :D

Currently on 5x5 so my rep range is low. But before.. dunno.. I never did so much. But I guess that goes down to personal preference.

lol that cursed bench, i have stayed away from it ever since my injury
What happened? Cannot remember if I asked you this before.

I think I told you about pulling a muscle in my back a few weeks back while doing Squats (poor technique)
Haven't done them since :scared:

descripe me the kind of pain.

I'm certain you didnt actually pulled a muscle, just strained one.

Lower back is the most resillient musclegroup in the body.

i tore my left pec muscle, as for squats make sure you get the technique right on the smith, even use a bench to help you get down with good balance. I doubt it's anything serious tbh
Oh man, that sounds painful, what was the recovery time? That's solid advice with the smith machine. I wouldn't mind but I've done squats plenty of times, I just had a lapse of concentration, arched my back and it all went wrong.

It's ok now, but at the time it was a really tight numb pain in my upper back. Will start back doing them again but will take it easy for a bit with a lighter weight. I think I tried to add too much weight too quickly in all honesty, rookie mistake.

Is it possible you are bending over far to much ?

Upper back is a region that only gives problems, when bending over to much, or when inbalancing

Or deadlifts
possibly bending over too much

No but seriously, I'm gonna get one of the trainers in the gym to go through it properly with me next time, just to avoid any further mishaps
