I prefer Green tea with lemon!

Jck, how fast do you run 10km if i may ask?
When training on asphalt around 53 minutes, on hilly terrain around 55 minutes and in races my personal best is 51 minutes.

When I first ran 10 km I did it in 61 minutes, that was around 10 months ago.

Wow, impressive.
You need to have some proper English tea, not the rubbish they serve you over the Atlantic.
Believe me, there are many places to buy tea here (Canada is multicultural you know :D). It's just not to my liking.

All tea. I absolutely can't drink tea, it makes me gag.
I hope you don't put maple syrup in your tea.

It's like warm, semi-flavoured water. I can't.
Seriously? Do you Canadiens puts sugar & milk in your tea?

Better as healthier? I highly doubt that. No pills can beat something natural. Maybe it's more effective but I wouldn't take lab crap over a tea.

But try to find that article, I wonder what does it say there.
Yeah its more effective & works through the system faster.

Agreed.

I always say it when I get asked, you have to do variation, that's the only way to improve your running. Well not the only way but the most effective, LSD (long steady distance) is very old school and recquires a lot of patience.

Try running 6 km rounds where you run the second half faster than the first.

Do HIIT, you don't have to do extreme HIIT, start by changing your speed by yourself, run faster and when you get tired jog down or walk if it was really exhausting. Then after a while you can do some disciplined HIIT. When you reach there I can give you some nice sessions.

Don't run the same track all the time and running on different terrains is really interesting. Do you run around Voondelpark? I would like to register a track there one day.

Ahh ok, then i am on the right track! We ran 8km for like a month or two to increase the lapsspeed.

HIIT is great, we do that once a week but only for like half an hour because our energy was completly gone after the session.

We do variate locations, i like the beach, bit cold during the fall and winter or in the woods.

Vondelpark is a nice run! Not that big but many joggers and great paths to run but i think you will like the Bosbaan more because it's half wood and half Asphalt. One lap of the Bosbaan is 5.7 km tho you can combine it with actually go in the Amsterdamse Bos and make it 10,15 or even 20 :)

Thx for the tips m8!

It seems you are on the right track, keep it up. We might meet in Amsterdam Marathon in a couple of years.

As for the HIIT, half an hour is enough if done properly, the sessions are extremely intense.

Do you have a running clock?
