I'm becoming incredibly frustrated at neck pains that I get not rarely and I've no clue what I do that causes them. :(


On another note, what do you people think of a 3 day split with legs on Monday, triceps/biceps/shoulders on Wednesday and back/chest on Friday? Basically a leg day, arm day and chest/back day. Would that be effective?

Currently I'm doing legs/shoulders on Monday, back/chest on Wednesday and chest/triceps on Friday. The problem is the biceps and triceps part...the back and chest routines really exhaust me and my biceps and triceps feel sore even before I start to work on them(because they're heavily used in most back/chest exercises).

Vlat man, see a physiotherapist as soon as possible if you're worried about your back

Usual routine I hear people do is back/biceps chest/triceps and legs/shoulders.
That's pretty much how I train, except that skip doing legs whenever I can, but I'm gonna chnage that. After tommorow exam I will start to train seriously.

Oh and i seperate regular bench press from incline and decline bench press.

Started jogging lately and my knees are killing me. I do fine for about 2-3k's but then they hurt like hell. Sometimes it's the left, other times the right. I do some warm up before and stretching but that doesn't help much. The pain goes away after a day but then we I start it comes back. :mad:

If you haven't jogged in a long time then your legs aren't used to the exercise. You have to build them back up. One thing you can do is slow your tempo/pace or give yourself a longer rest period. Run every other day for a week or two. Also after you complete a physical activity you have about 45 minutes to get your body to recover properly. This includes replenishing electrolytes, eating protiens, and taking anti-inflamitories. Since you're only doing 2-3k you probably could benefit from a piece of fruit, lots of water, and 200mg of IB profen after your run.

And the shoes are really important, Mark. Especially if you are running on asphalt. My running shoes are useless on asphalt now and when it starts to get really dark I have to get me a new pair so I can run on the roads, the woods is scary in winter.

My shoes suck as well. I need new pair for running like yesterday. I think I've injured the bottom of my foot, whenever I walk around bare foot it feels like a rubber band is popping my arch.

Once the cushion starts flattening out, the pain goes directly to my knees. It's terribly unbearable and it destroys all the fun in running.

I also thought that my normal NIKE shoes could be the problem. I do run on asphalt to go near the park but can't find the actual word for it. There's some dust mixed with small stones or something. It's not smooth. I go uphill sometimes so that might not help my knees but could help them get stronger.

That's probably better for your knees than asphalt or concrete. Also running in the grass can help too.
