Ah, I see

Beginners? Oh, I thought it was some advanced shit :D

I heard about that OVT, it's all about supersets right? I think I'll try that next week.
Yeah, you are doing two supersets of 5x5 for every muscle group. It's really hard, after training I feel like train just hit me (not that I really know the feeling when train hits you :))

do you get pretty sore every time you do it?
I squat 100kg, I could go more, but on a smith machine. I do 4x8 and after that some leg press and extensions for hamstrings and I can also barely walk the next day. I think that's normal for leg work as it's the biggest muscle group and the legs get strongest first. I have a feeling I can add 10kg every time I do squats. :D

Though I've started to ease up on leg work since all my jeans are becoming real tight. :p
My main goal is to completely get rid of the annoying knee pain that has been bothering me for a couple of years. It's patellar tendinopathy, well.. that's what they call it. Patellofemoral pain syndrome, patellar tendinitis, there's very little difference IMO.

But the thing is I noticed my glutes and upper hamstrings weren't doing what they were supposed to be doing. Since I've been hitting them, the knee pain has virtually disappeared. My running has also improved dramatically.

If I get myself injuryfree, which I pretty much am right now, I'm aiming for speed.
Knee pain was the reason I got into the gym. Strengthening my quads helped somewhat I don't have the same pain anymore but walking up and down the stairs is always difficult. I have the feeling my knee will detach and my lower leg will be left hanging. :D

If you have knee problems, I'd defo recommend doing squats on a smith machine as it isolates the quads and relieves the knees. The purists will call you a wuss, but it's got it's benefits.

Funny story, how I injured my knee. Here's a hint:
