IMO, to be fair to Moli, his defense can be pretty solid offset by moments of playing in completely the wrong zone and forcing our other guys to cover for his mistake. He can't pull an offside trap for his life. His passing isn't too bad when he's at close range. He runs the length of the pitch a lot which wears down opponents a bit. His crossing is sometimes dreadful, sometimes adequate, but never where our forwards need it.

He's still fucking better than that dolt Molinaro.

And Balzaretti has been playing well for Palermo, totally controlling their left-flank. He actually has ball skills and smarts at the back, unlike Molinaro.

Balzaretti >>>>>>>> Molinaro not only in skill but also in heart.

Case fucking closed.
The reason why we continue to talk about Balzaretti is because it was a bonehead decision to give him away. That's why. Now we're stuck with a dolt like Molinaro on the left and sometimes have to rely on Birindelli on the right, a good stalwart who is too old now. People complaining about selling Balza are spot on.

And we're not asking Molinaro to be flawless. We're asking Molinaro to make good crosses, not miss passes, not make countless mistakes at the back, something he does every single match. Watching him makes my blood boil. Get him out now.

Funny thing is, I saw that this player would be useless end of September.

No we aren't over critical of him. He's terrible. He can't go through one match without being LAUGHED at.
well done. you should become a coach.

I feel he is improving bit by bit and while he is still a liability and should be replace in the summer I don't think he is as bad as people have made him out to be.

Er, you do realise that Balza joined in January. Over half them games he didn't even play in.
i do. i was just trying to piss off people who are always dreaming of him.

Either way he is not the superstar everyone wants to think he is. He was decent enough. But I think alot of the ppl who talk about him have hardly ever seen him play because he was not some sort of legend or anything.

If we could buy Grosso, bring in De Ceglie and maybe get a another defender like Barzagli, suddenly we have an experienced line up that is solid.

Why dent De Ceglie's future by getting anyone of the others mentioned, doesn't seem like smart business.

Grosso would give us results now and that is what we want. But if Lyon ask that much for him we should not pay them. A younger player would be worth the price. If De Ceglie is good enough buying another play wont hurt his future because the players who perform will end up being successful.

De Ceglie will be give his chance but we should not count on him to be a starter next season and we should not buy Grosso assuming De Ceglie will be good enough to take over.

I voted in Vargas, but truly, the player i want on our left defence is De Ceglie!!!
I think it's stupid to formate players and send them away!!! That's not the way a club should invest, IMO!!

Those who want Vargas, are you aware that it means no room for De Ceglie?
If De Ceglie is better than Vargas then no , I wouldn't want Vargas but if De Ceglie was just another promising youth prospect that may or may not make it then no .

It's not about making Juve the best Italian youth team in Italy , it's about making Juve the best team in Italy . There's nothing wrong in investing in non-italian players every once in a while .

I still have no freaking idea why we tossed Balza for Molinaro. Was it to assure Chiellini of more first team time before our central defense crumbled like Pado in a Dubai woman's shoe store? Was it because we pinched pennies on the budget to afford major acquisition flops?

I don't know, but it sure f*ed us over a bit. I miss Balza.
I'ts all in mine original post (1st in the thread)...

Dossena will do. He is strong, fast and a very good winger!

He will do to...him end De Ceglie...

De Ceglie at the moment may not be better than Vargas but he is younger and more promising. Vargas is definitely much better than Grosso but Grosso does not have so many years left in him which is the perfect situation to make room for De Ceglie.

One season where Grosso is a starter and De Ceglie is on the bench, the next season they rotate and then Paolo takes over.

With Vargas it is different, it will be Vargas as a starter and De Ceglie either wasted on the bench or half-sold or sent on loan. He was sent on loan this season because the Juve board thought we were covered by Chiellini and Molinaro.

you start with Vargas...play De Ceglie once in a while...give Paolo the Coppa and some shitty games in Serie A then in a year or two if he proves he's that damn good you sell Vargas double for what we paid for. :p
