There is a point here, esp after what he said about Moratti,
he closed the door to a possible tranfer there,
so that means he is probably determined to stay and he isnt just pretending...

Don't you think Capello coming out with such confident statements is a positive sign? He's been known as man of his word.

This is what he said:

“I am convinced that Juventus will remain in Serie A and we are already working towards this,” he bravely said despite the very real threat of demotion.

“We won the championship fairly which was rightly celebrated by us.”

“There is an anti-Juve campaign,” added Capello. “Juventus have never bought the outcome of any games.

“We could be docked points, seeing as club officials are involved, but I’m hopeful and thinking positively.

“I only have Juventus in my head for now. Then, if and when the time arrives, we’ll meet to discuss any other eventual projects.”

1. This is a very good sign

2. I must admit to being down on Capello (because of his Z favoritism, in the face of, shall we say, less than stellar results)...but his behavior/statements during this crisis have convinced me that he is a true gentleman and a true juventino.

Don Fabio--I was wrong about you. I apologize.

actually it was really strange that capello wanted to stay so much....

it makes me wonder how much money did we offer him...
i don't think it's a money issue right now, he have much more freedom now at Juve to make his own choices. and he want to show to other ppl that his move to Juve from Roma was the right choice ( of course it is :eyebrows: )

I don't want him as our coach either -- unless our goal is to get out of Serie B, for example, in which case I think he would be very good. But put us in any European cup play, and we can only hope the team overcomes his tactics and makes it far enough to make a little TV revenue cash for the club.

I'm worried about his statements of wanting to be more on the pitch in response to comparisons made with Alex Ferguson. I was hoping that should we stay in A, he'd announce another coach as he takes more the role of GM instead.

Still, Juve is in a major bind. Beggars can't be choosers. And all things considered, despite all of Capello's flaws, the guy seems to have staying power. This scandal couldn't have come at a better time for him, careerwise. But Juve needs what they can get. And given how quickly Capello jumped ship at Roma with the coming news of financial problems there a couple seasons ago, something must be different for him at Juve.

Swag , I'm totally agree at this point , something is changing in capello's mind. But again he faces big difficulties to overcome in the the european campaign. although I must say that he's not guilty 100 % becoz the players who are on the pitch must be more responsible and try. Let's face it our team didn''t have the spirit required for CL. Is that because of cappello or the players themselves ? this is the real question

Whatever the case is, let's just wait till the transfer mercato is over (since it hasn't even begun yet) and then let's see how Capello will react. Please don't get your hopes to high. :eyebrows:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
in hurra Juventus Del piero wrote these words (may be elissa can translate it better) :
I am proud to be juventino, to be a bandiera?, but in fact I am a small part of the great bianconero bandiera, that is born in many years and still grows. we should stay all united.
The first time I had the juve shirt on as a kid, I had great emotions, these emotions are now proud. I love this shirt, I had said it and I repeat it, and all what it represents.
-----------------------------

forza il capitano, I am so emotional to hear such words from Del piero, he shows now for all the blind people, who all did not know why we defended Dp all the time, DP is best what juve ever had...
