The who the fuck created the first goal, other than him detonating the bomb on the Verona goal. That post must be still shaking.
And who missed the sitter that would have finished this game off early, and the sitter that would have finished the Roma game off last week... and so on and so forth. :p

We have only 2 players capable of creating a goal out of nothing (aside Pjanic's FKs). Both should start if fit. Bench Mandzukic, his defensive contribution has been diminished with the emergence of Matuidi on that left side.

He simply can't miss sitters. He has no margin for error because his contributions in other areas of the pitch are lacking. We paid 94M for him to not only score sitters but to smash goals that other #9s can't.

If he is missing sitters... well... what does he bring.

I'm not worried about him because you can see his head doesn't drop, he plays the same whether he scores the chances or misses. He's not panicking in front of goal the technique is just letting him down. Maybe the last chance he had was slightly fearful, he went for the safe finish and gave the keeper a chance to save it.

Agreed....his overall game has been really good lately and he easily could have had a boatload of goals against roma and verona. Even that freekick yesterday was really impressive. He is losing the ball less and is going on fewer random dribbles.

As long as he rediscovers his finishing come Feb/Mar should be fine

He wanst bad yesterday tbh. But yeah he had some terrible misses.

He will always ne haunted by his pricetag. Thats how it is. He NEEDS to score. Period. If not, well, we need to do something about it.

His finishing will come good again as long as allegri keeps playing him. With a more balanced 3 man midfield eventually allegri will wake up and stop thinking players like mandzukic are still needed to start.

If dybala and bernadeschi can form a trio with higgy upfront then higgy will benefit more. His last season at napoli was insane but the coach utilised him and his creative options around well. We have dybala and bernadeschi who can do the same.

Matuidi and Sandro really negate the need to start mandzukic on that left side.

Was great for us most of last season. Was excited to see what he could do this year if he showed up to preseason in shape and ready to go.

Instead he shows up fat as fuck, takes 2 months to get into a semblance of shape and then goes on the fritz for most of the last 6 weeks with shit mentality, awful finishing, poor control and touch, and terrible interplay with his teammates.

So disappointing.
