Pathetic performance. It's not just the missed chances but he couldn't get on a single ball whether because of lack of pace or lack of effort to get into positions. I saw Khedira ahead of him, already in the box waiting a cross, multiple times. Roma was wide open. You need your #9 to do better and kill the game.

He already offers nothing as a target man but if he continues to be average in terms of finishing then he supplies nothing over other strikers. Dybala is ahead of him as a #9 in my books.

I was a supporter last year. He was far more clinical. Way better build up. His decline is noticeable. If he is not converting chances at a higher rate than other strikers then he loses his value. Simple as that.

He has way too many off days. Couple that with the fact that he's a pretty one dimensional player to begin with and you have to wonder whether he does more harm than good overall.

Poor game, but atleast he works his fatass off for the team. But should be able to finish better, dont understand Why dybala didnt came on...
Sounds like Amauri.

Think it's time to cut our losses and get a new striker this winter. Hopefully Beppe delivers.

Man he is so fucking slow. Tortoise and the Hare out there when he is trying to out run defenders lol
I don't get how anyone can defend his weight. He's clearly 5kg/10lb heavier than he should be. It would give him back that little bit of pace that he once had, and help him with even his first step quickness. He can't even run onto through-balls anymore. He's a lethal finisher on his day, but his day is become rarer and rarer and more and more dependent on teammates serving him goals on a platter. Very disappointing to see him going this way.

He's starting to resemble a greasy meatball.

I really cannot understand how it's almost 18 months since he joined us and is still allowed to put this extra weight. I don't care if the logic behind putting these extra pounds is to make him physically stronger because it's totally not showing. He's easily being bullied by defenders and lost a lot of pace on top of that.

Rewatched the game. Yeah, he missed couple of sitters, but he was not that bad imo. Yeah, he is not a speed demon, he never was and never will be, but all and all I liked him tbh.:boh:

You need to watch the Real Madrid Higuain and even the Napoli one was faster and much more mobile. He also seems to have lost his excellent ball control, his first touch is a 50-50 these days.

Well maybe he was faster indeed, but not by much. He was never known for his speed tbh. Not that worried about the first touch also, you can't just lose baring the injury.
All I am saying it was not clearly his best game. He should've scored, but sometimes it just doesn't go there. Apart from that he ran a lot and helped his friends.
