Its official. Higuain is totally off form right now.

All of a sudden it seems our weakest area is depth at center forward

He looks very low on confidence.

I'm not particularly worried about his general play. He had some mistakes e.g. one bad cross field pass to stop a good break in the second half. But other times he lost possession were generally where he got a bad pass and had a defender on him. He did some decent link up too and played in Cuadrado, did well before Dybala's free-kick.

What was worrying was his finishing and movement to get in goal scoring positions. I'm still confident he will get back on form, all strikers go through these phases, but he needs some goals. He lives for scoring, once he gets a few more I'm confident everything else will fall into place.

The way people are talking you've think Higuaín played for us for like 3 years lol. Although Higuaín is known to flop at the big occasion, I can't blame our management for buying him; that last season at Napoli...

With that said although I'm somewhat beginning to give hope, he still has only been here for one year. Maybe he'll explode like Tevez did in his second season.

Maybe...
Well, he might but not they way you want maybe

He'll turn it around, the guy is too good of a finisher to not score at least 20 in Serie A playing in the best team. Sadly, the way his body is regressing, he wont be good for much else besides finishing

How does that work? Buy one player, and expect to win the Champions League? I know you don't think management is that naive.

Management has the goal of winning every competition we enter, because that's part of the club's identity as a European giant. Of course Juve bought a star striker to help boost us in Europe, but the club could have bought a lot of different forwards for 90M.

Buy the best players from your primary challengers, increase your odds of winning a title and gaining an all-time record that may last for 50 or even 100 years.

No? This club's identity is about Italian dominance. No?

1st part, management knows CL is a bit of a crap shoot. Agnelli has been around this team for his entire life, and he understands that the best team doesn't always win that competition. He's seen it first hand. The farther Juve consistently goes in CL, more money goes into the coffers, better financially positioned we are to compete with Europe's elite the following years. Rinse, repeat. We have made a pretty insane amount of money from CL the past few years.

2nd part, I would also love to see more of Fede on the field with those two.
It's not about certainty. It's about giving yourself the best chance to reach a goal in mind. Juve had already won five scudetti and made the Champions League final but it was proclaimed repeatedly that Higuain would "take us to the next level". Higuain was bought to give the best chance of winning the Champions League. It's no different to PSG. You really think they're buying Neymar to assure themselves of the Ligue and a quarter final? They're trying to go all the way.

You missed my point. My point is that Griezmann can play #9, like Higuain.
Is someone seriously saying he would prefer Higuain to Griezmann for CF

There is no doubt that Griezmann is at least twice the player Higuain is, but the real question is whether Griezmann would have accepted a move here.

So much critique for Higuaín, 2 weeks ago everyone was watching every move of Cuadrado saying how bad he is, now every step Higuaín takes is subject to the same type of comments
