Yeah, it's too early to proclaim him MVP of the season. But it will be Pipita when he scores a brace against Real Madrid with 2 Dani Alves assists.
if Dani makes 2 assist in he final? unanimous MVP of the season and Balon dor at the end of the year

So is Pipita. He just didn't have a proper chance yet.
:hihi: you havent seen him before he joined Juve havent you?

Higuain isn't a bad choice for MVP, as he is (obviously) the top scorer, could be relied on in pretty much every game, played the whole 90 minutes almost every game and surprisingly turned up in some crucial crunch games (Fiorentina, Monaco, Napoli etc). Dani Alves has been a man possessed lately but was injured a good chunk of the season.

For me though it's gotta be Mandzukic, as the system change to 4-2-3-1 relies almost solely on his work rate, not to mention he also runs for 90 minutes in almost every single game nonstop. He's also brought in some crucial goals, assists and performances against the likes of Barcelona and Monaco. Don't remember him really having a bad game this season.

Bonucci is another player that has had a fantastic season, has scored some big goals and could be relied on in pretty much every game.

I mean you're allowed to have your opinion and all, but I really can't understand anyone following Juve over the whole season and calling Mandzukic our MVP.

Sure, he's an instrumental and fundamental part of our team right now, but so are others. And he's been frankly shit the first few months of the season.

If you go for constintent contributions overall and favour attacking players, it's gotta be Higuain. But he's been underwhelming in some of our biggest games.

If you go by performing in the most crucial games, it's Dani Alves, he's been out of this world against Barca, Monaco & Lazio.

I can easily see an argument being made for Buffon or Bonucci as well, but Mandzukic? Let's say we just take the last few months since we changed formation for the sake if argument, even then Pjanic, Dani Alves, Dybala have been comfortably better.

Mandzukic MVP ? I mean seriously common. That's a hipster opinion. He has been crucial to our system change and a very significant player for us this season but MVP is just pushing it.
Higuaín has won like near 30 pts on his own in the league for us with his goals. Also scored the crucial goals against Monaco and Napoli in the respective cup semi finals. Deserved MVP in my view.

Best performances =/= best stats

Not saying Higgz is not deserving btw

Alex Sandro, Mandzukic and Higuain are all deserving

Higuaín has been the best performing player for us overall. Dismissing his match winning goals against Napoli(league and coppa), Roma, Torino , Monaco as 'stats' is being plain silly.
Buffon and Higuaín have been consistently good the entire year.

without having mandzukic, we would be still playing our shitty 3-5-2, and as marchisio is still finding his fitness, one of lemina, sturaro and rincon would have been starters for the most part of the season. mandzukic is the cornerstone of our current football.

i'm not saying that higuain got an undeserved mvp award. in most cases, a top scorer of any team is probably the safest choice for this award. of course higuain was fundamental, and so were buffon, alves, sandy, pjanic, khedira, bonucci, dybala, even chiellini in the cl. fortunately, most of our key players are having a solid season. but without mandzukic, this whole new style of play that allegri invented mid-season - regardless of the formation, which is constantly changing even during matches anyway - simply won't work at all.

Higuain is MVP of the whole season (emphasis on whole) , end of discussion.

Only other candidate worthy of consideration is Gigi. Any other name is just being contrarian for the heck of it.

best argument so far. i'm taking all back.
As you should. The numbers tell you the whole story. :Higgy:

Let's put it this way: Higuain to Juve is like CR7 is to Real Madrid or Messi to Barcelona.

Of course, I don't mean literally as those 2 are better players than :Higgy: but I hope you do get my point. Pipita has scored 1/3 of our goals this season.
