Most players who have a "bad" season don't score 20+ goals.

Not sure how Vidal scoring 20 goals in one year takes anything away from Higuain.
Strikers will score goals. It's the whole point of their existence. It's basically inevitable that they will score goals no matter how bad they are.

You can't just say "wow 20 goals, he's good".

It's a spectrum of relative performance. If you play Buffon at striker, he will score 1 goal. If you play Benatia, he will score 8 goals. If you play Mandzukic he will score 16 goals. Quagliarella maybe the same? If you play Higuain he will score 23 goals. If you play Immobile, he will score? Hmm, maybe even more. If you play Balotelli, maybe 23 goals as well? Maybe more, he scored 26 for Nice.

Yes he is a striker and he scored goals. I agree. I think Vidal had 20 goals one year from midfield.

I guess all the big teams are asleep and Milan are the smart ones.
Can you name a single Juve striker that scored 55 goals in their first 2 seasons here? I'm all for selling Higuain, but the way people on this forum dismiss his contributions for the club is scandalous.

You would have to take every striker and put them in the exact same circumstances as Higuain.

Dzeko scored 40 goals for Roma in ONE season. Could he have scored 55 in his first two years at Juve? The answer is probably yes.

Everything is relative. You can't say that without Higuain we would just lose 23 goals, someone else would score them. Would we be playing with 10 men? People bring up his Inter goal like it means something extraordinary. It's an unmarked header from inside the 6.

Yeah, but Dzeko was a risky move back then because he was growing weed in church backyard.

I'm pretty sure the point of his post was to show that Higuain has done really well here, which he has. Not that being higher on the list means that you are a better player.

You're better than this Mike, you usually post very objectively. Letting emotions getting the better of you here ;)

It just seems strange that two years ago we broke mercato records with 94m purchase of him...55 goals later, we want him out. He didn't really do anything wrong, thats the funny part. It's not like he failed to deliver. He did well.

Such a bizarre twist IMHO.
Its pretty simple. 15m gross wage and 22m in amortisation. With Ronaldo coming in we cant afford to have Higgy on the books as well.
