I think you'll find strikers like Higuain or Llorente will make much better use of our "crap" crosses than our current batch of strikers. These are players who are very strong in the air, know how to attack space in the box and are just generally much better at playing as genuine targets in the box for crosses.

I completely agree, I actually think that Lichtsteiner's crosses would not look so awful with competent strikers who can position themselves and move well in the penalty box.

I maintain that we have to find someone more suitable to the LWB role than Asamoah though.

Exactly. But like I said, LWB is not a priority for us, improving our woeful attack is. Other reinforcements can wait til this time next year IMO.
