So you keep saying.

I don't watch Real Madrid regularly. At least 90% of the Real games I see are big games (CL ties or games v Barca).

Overall he may have a great conversion rate, but he most certainly doesn't in the games I'm watching him in.
He's not been the best in big matches.

But he does score a bunch against Mallorca.
But those are not the only big games Real play every season. If games against Milan, Napoli, Inter, Roma and Lazio will be considered big games after a potential move to Juve, you have to include Atletico, Sevilla, Valencia, Villareal (in the past) and Malaga in the list of big teams Real have played. Higuain's scoring record is immense in those games. Real have been generally bad in the CL (before Mourinho came) and against Barca (until Mou's second season) which was more of a mentality problem. Higuain has also perfromed really well (with tons of goals and assists) every time he's played for his NT, he ended up their top goal scorer in the world cup (big enough tournament?) above Messi and Tevez.

We should take the opportunity to sign him. His off the ball movement is what we lack in attack, can't think of any other forward who moves as well. Perfect physique, great shooting technique and an undeniable scoring instinct; exactly what we need.

That's the sort of performance I feel I've seen an awful lot from Higuain.

The movement and touch is great, but he keeps on missing.
Since my brother-in-law is a Madrid fan, I have seen a good amount of Pipita since he joined them. He has been a deadly striker for 2-3 years, but this year he has been a complete disappointment. He missed a lot of good opportunities that he would usually score.

We really do need two quality goal poachers. Having Llorente isn't enough IMO, even if he does bang in goals left right and centre, he could easily pick up a long term injury or lose form. Then what do we do? Rely on :matri:? Fuck that

I see the word clinical being tossed around quite a bit...
Although I think Higuain is a great player, "clinical" wouldn't really be my assessment of him. Statistics be damned :D
Could be that I haven't watched enough of his games, and/or that those that I watched were against the toughest opposition.
Anyway, converting more chances against smaller clubs is nothing to hold against him; those are the games that matter the most when it comes to winning the league. CL is another matter...

That being said, if Juve can get him, I'm all for it.

I hope that with juve he stops missing opportunities in the big games. Higuain can be impressive sometimes like that bicycle-kick he score not long ago but then he misses chances like that one on one against Dortmund.

I am not a fan of this guy but a partnership Llorente-Higuain does look interesting.
