That really is the only way to deal with these top transfers these days. You avoid bidding wars, you give the players more time to adjust in preseason, and even commercially, there's additional merchandise that can be sold before the start of the season based on the signing. Those last day deals are no longer as viable because we aren't working from a position of strength. Sure Bayern have the money etc., but I love how they have wrapped up a major player before the mercato opens. Things are so much clearer for them moving forward. About time Juve stop waiting around to make bids for leftovers.

Falcao is amazing as a single striker, with a team behind him. Much like cavani. For this reason they are highly regarded.

Higuain, is amazing in a two striker systhem.

Mourinho plays 4-2-3-1. Higuain isnt fitted for that system yet outscored benzema, a tuz favorite. Mourinho's real should have gotten falcao, he's perfect for that system

Pelegrini played 4-4-2. Higuain in a two striker system. In 2008/2009 he had a big breaktrough, and in 2009/2010 he outscored ronaldo !, scoring more league goals then falcao ever did despite beeing in a two striker system, rather then single striker.

Yeah, falcao scores more goals in europe, in the european league...cannon flodder. Madrid plays in the championsleague, thats serious business.

In a two striker system, Higuain is the best #9 in the world. Ibrahimovic-Higuain, would tear serie a and europe to pieces

He was better then ronaldo. you can read up that ronaldo wasent to happy with not beeing in the spotlight, cause Higuan was outscoring and performing him.

I seriously beg to differ. He would be a beast for any side willing to start him regularly. So goes the trend on this forum of underrating players who aren't getting as much game time as they should. I think we're all going to be very surprised by Llorrente.

You're spot on. He's a flexible player as well though. I've seen him on the right side of real's 4-3-3 a few times this season. His pace and skill is also underrated because of his size.
