I've been following him since the River days, and wished we sign him when we was benched regularly at Real the begininng of his career. People were laughing at me

Let's sign him first, then we'll sort out this fanboy issue :p
I didn't join the forums then  :p
Man, this would be such a perfect transfer.

not been that decisive in Europe, why Salv?
The last two seasons weren't good for him, he had a serious injury in 10/11 and was a bench player this season. Against Bayern he played ~15 minutes of football in total (including extra time). He still looked pretty good though, and his numbers are better.

Before that he just wasn't very good in Europe, Madrid weren't doing that well either with the squad they had.

Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain has admitted to being disappointed with his role with Los Blancos in the 2011-12 campaign...

However, the 24-year-old admitted to being in the dark over reports suggesting that Juve had met with his father and brother earlier in the week.

"I do not know anything about that," Higuain said to AS. "I read less and less papers because they tell a lot of lies and what I want is to enjoy Madrid's Primera Division title and distance myself from everything."
"This was a tough season. Honestly, I did not have many opportunities to play. But I am happy that we have won La Liga.

"It is harder for a striker not to play, that is the truth. Even more so because I live for this. When I am not playing, I suffer.

"I have come to Argentina to rest, we will see what happens. This was a very tough year for me."

:tuttosport:

Maybe that is why Cavani is growing frustrated in Napoli? :D
