If the player is led by money there is not a lot we can do about it. If they aren't, then this is where the best gurus show their worth. We won't be privy to those sort of details but every big player Marotta doesn't sign is his fault, that's just part of the job.

If that was the case my friend why isnt everyone at Anzhi? It is a an equation that involves more than just money, though that is a big factor. My point is he needs to make it happen thats as you put it his job, no more excuses, even the money excuse wont hold anymore.

I think that Liverpool will do whatever they can to keep him. It's not easy attracting big names without CL, even if your club is named Liverpool.

It's certainly isn't wise to sell your top class player when you are competing to get back on the top.
Liverpool really don't want to sell unless it's an offer we can't refuse or Suarez wants to move on. So primarily it's up to the player. Some reports say that he's touched by the loyalty the club has shown him and wants to repay the club. Others say he wants out of England.

Since we're not making the CL this season, keeping Suarez is the best way for us to attract a similar caliber of player.

Anzhi have to make a move for those players, of course. But I'm talking about the top European teams in general. There are other factors such as prestige, being in the CL etc.

Imagine the scenario that Agüero is still at Atlético Madrid and both Man City and Juventus want him this summer. Both are in the CL in this scenario. Juve want him strongly, as do City. If City keep offering a higher salary and transfer fee than ourselves then it goes beyond Marotta's decision and onto the shareholders and board members. We aren't competing with a PSG or Man City if it goes that route, so our ceiling will be lower.

If it is the difference between €25m and €30m for someone I agree, now is the chance to make the move. We have to take FFP into account but also recognise how much money we have spent building a backup squad each summer.

in the aguero saga, timing was also essential imo. At some point we were off by 2 mil from what atletico wanted, and if i recall correctly man city wasnt even in the picture then, so marotta decided to play hardball. We can continue back and forth on theories and opine on why or why not that was possible. Once again, my point is, Marotta is out of lineline/excuses, i dont care who comes in for top players, he NEEDS to close a deal even if he has to kill for it.

Yeah. Listening to what we have to offer and actually signing on the dotted line are two complete separate things. Not warming up to this possible transfer if I'm being completely honest.

But Suarez is totally a player that suits us

That quote could be to any club. Remove Juve and put in Inter, Arsenal, Chelsea or any other club and you'd still get the same answer.

We need this guy badly. I don't give a shit anymore about finances, we need top quality up front.

Give them 30-40 million euros, I don't care if Marotta gotta beg on his knees to Elkann for that money, we need to do this.

Fuck the RW and defense problems, Higuain would be :tuttosport:
I know that Higuain would be :tuttosport:

But Vucinic---Higuain----Lavezzi would be :tuttosport:²

We have enough squad depth, this summer only 2 marque signing ( Higuain/Lavezzi), add Pgoba and someone like Kolarov on loan and we'll be set for years.
