We have to deal with Madrid yet, so this is far from a done deal. I'm sure Agüero, Dzeko and others would have come here too based on the terms we have offered.

The issue is how far we take negotiating the fee with Madrid. I'm not an advocate on 'break the bank' or 'just give them what they want' for any player, we have our parameters, but the sticking point can be if an oil club gets a sniff and just asks Madrid to name their price. We aren't in that market.

I feel that gives oher teams like Man City, PSG or whomever time to get involved in this and if they do I feel we can't compete with that kind of $.
