I can't understand why FIFA replaced the normal extra-time with golden goal. I can't see any purposes with golden goal, it's less exciting, it's more unfair and it usually leads to more defensive play.
I get so frustrated when a team has completely played out their opponents and suddenly they concede a goal and it is all over. I think Sweden would have won the game against Senegal if it wasn't for the golden goal rule.
I would like to hear your opinions in this matter.
