i believe God didnt gave people the hard evidence to proove his existance because of the free will,
if tomorrow God come down to earth and start making miracles,
everybody will fell on their knees,
we would be slaves,
now we have the right to chooce, to believe or not,
u know what to do if u want to do His will but u r not obligated

Then I'll help you understand.

1. I mean no disrespect.
2. Yes, I don't have time so I just browse the form every now and then I participate in small discussions to kill time between classes. When dealing with touchy subjects, I always like to take my time writing a response to make sure that I'm not offending anyone and not making any mistakes. So my input here won't be provided.
3. Members like me, Graham, Zlatan, and John have engaged in religious discussions before and, at least for myself, I feel responsible to 'represent' my belief/religioun. Not that others can't cover for me, but I'd just like to acknowledge that I have given my input before and it's available somewhere on the forums. For those interested, there's the search option above. As to why I don't provide a link, see point 2.

I don't see how my post was offensive/disrespectful. I doubt that Graham and Zlatan have either because they even quoted me.
I am not ofended of your post,I just found it disrespectful because I tought you were asking to close the thread especially after I saw post #23 (saying like the same you guys discussed there, will go on here again).

I say it's ok to have this thread, the other one is old (1 and half year) and you can't expect us to read what were discussed there from the begining.and I think this one is kind a different from the old one, the other one was about differnces between religions etc.. but this one is about God in general.

it's these kind of posts that keeps me away from this thread
Everyone has a right to his or her own opinions. That's why we aren't in Old Testament times anymore. :thumb:

After I finished from High School, I went into the Nigerian Army for 18 months before proceeding to the University...

I was sent to Sierra Leone after my induction training for a year's tour of duty...

Bottom line, in a town called Pepel some 30 minutes away from Freetown, my unit came under rebel attack. I assure you, it is impossible to see a friend's head blown off just next to you and not ask the following question... Why wasn't it me?

Like I have said somewhere in this forum before, I am nowhere near religous, and I'd rather sit in front of the television on a Sunday and watch football than go to Church. Hell, my mum, my sisters and now my fiancee have all given up on me...

But I can assure you guys on this: somewhere out there, there's a GOd

Dude! I lived in Sierra Leone, in a city called Buajibu, heard of it? I've also lived in Nairobi, Kenya, where I was actually born, and also lived in Morogoro, Tanzania.

Buajibu can hardly be described as a city. What were you doing there?
My dad was a missionary doctor, and they sent him to first to northern Tanazania, and then to Sierra Leone. I've had malaria so many times that i think i'm immune to it now :)

Chxta, great story, great story indeed. Although I don't see that it had anything to do with God.

Sometimes I'll get anxiety when I think all of these fanatic Christians who believe in God in the way that the chucrh tells them to. I'll probably never understand them. I accept their beliefs, but I don't think I could ever for example seriously date a girl who believes the church's version of the God.

this topic sucks...
why don't you guys just keep your own belief.
exactly, why do people care to hear other people's beliefs and comment on it?
