Im not!
I may be alone here in thinking this, but I feel keeping trez and offloading pippo was a massive mistake... id take pippo over trez everytime
I would keep him too, but for different reasons. The thing is that since he has been playing in Milan he has improved a lot (literally blossomed) and it hurts to see he is doing so greatly for another team. When we sold him he was not that good and his career was on a downhill, hence we stuck with Trez.

I would have preferred to keep them both.
Man, this is hurting too much to discuss about.

Actually I was kinda happy seeing that he's doing well for Milan. Yes it's annoying to see that he's doing it for the rossoneri, but Pippo's old and all and its good to see the last stages of his career he did something useful

well, pippo scored a measly 11 goals all season in his last year here, and trezeguet got 14,including 7 in the last 5 matches, playing less than half the matches pippo did.

u seem jealous nina.jealous of alex.try to prove us that ale isn't great?HAHA...last season:
against INTER(1st leg):he scored a p.k against toldo.but that wasn't his only fantastic job at that game.he was nightmare of cannavaro at san siro.
against MILAN(1st leg):2 great(really great)assists for di vaio and thuram.his assist for di vaio wasn't less than a goal.
against ROMA(1st leg):scored our first goal with a nice header.
against LAZIO(1st leg):juve performed awfully at that match but our single goal was made by ale assist for neddy.
against INTER(2nd leg)he was absent.
against MILAN(2nd leg)played only the second half after his damn injury.
against ROMA(2nd leg):scored 2 goals(one was p.k).
against LAZIO(2nd leg):when juve nearly was the winner, ale beside the other juve players kept their energy for the match against R.madrid at semi-final of CL.
ALE IS MAN OF THE GREAT MATCHS.
WHEN WE MISS HIM,IT WOULDN'T BE STRANGE THE RESULTS SUCH AS 4-0 AGAINST ROMA.

Not only he scores crucial goals in these games that we need to play well (even though many penalties), he also keeps the team together. When Roma smashed Juve4-0, the players were not together playing as a team. If DP was on, at least he would motivate the team and keep them focused.
I'm not sayinf we'd win if DP played but the score wouldn't be as bad. Our players were just giving up.

Forza Capitano Alex Del Piero!

Pity all those who watch matches on their radio and wireless and over the internet cannot say anything on here

Choker in big matches eh? Well scoring close to 20 goals against the biggest teams in Italy and Paul did not include Parma in that list as his record would be even higher as they have been our main rivals for scudetto in the recent past

Overrated? Yeah right

I feel we should have kept both, early in the nineties we had loads of star strikers in our squad.

I think it really was a huge covincidence that it was Pippo that left, after he missed the crucial penalty against Lecce Trez took over, but it easily have been the other way around.

Well many people here come from all over the world, but their nicknames are Italian footballers' names :)

i think this is a great thread worth reviving. (great job on starting it paul  )

anyway, i'll continue from 2002/03 season, i believe that one was left unfinished.

ok, so the scorer against 4 of the main rivals (milan, inter, roma and lazio) from 2002 up to this season have been:
8 - trezeguet
7 - del piero, nedved
5 - di vaio
4 - zlatan
2 - zalayeta
1 - cannavaro, camoranesi, emerson, ferrara, montero, olivera, thuram.

against milan:
2 - di vaio, trezeguet
1 - ferrara, nedved, thuram

against inter:
2 - del piero, nedved, zlatan
1- camoranesi, di vaio, montero, trezeguet, zalayeta

against roma:
5 - del piero
2 - di vaio, nedved, trezeguet
1 - cannavaro, emerson, zalayeta, zlatan

against lazio:
3 - trezeguet
2 - nedved
1 - olivera, zlatan.

of course, the likes of fiorentina, parma and probably torino could've and probably should've been included but they were left out by a starter of this thread so i wont put them in either.

anyway
what you think
please discuss
